One of the downsides of having a pet hedgehog is how rare it is to find hedgehog “stuff”. If you have a cat, horse, or dog it’s so easy to find all kinds of products – but you rarely find hedgehog print anything. On the rare cases that I do bump into hedgehog stuff it always catches my eye and I usually end up buying it. Owls and Friends is a neat website that specializes in animal products including jewelry, bags, and home decor in themes including common pets like cats and dogs (and even specific dog breed gear) and much harder to find animals like hedgehogs, armadillos, koalas, and jellyfish!

Hedgehog lovers can choose between earrings, a reusable snack sack or a reusable sandwich bag. I was recently sent their earrings to check out. In the past, i’ve searched for hedgehog jewelry only to find that a lot of the “hedgehog” stuff doesn’t really look much like real hedgehogs – often times being porcupines instead of hedgehogs. The Sienna Sky Hedgehog Earrings that I was sent are definitely hedgehogs although they have a slightly cartoonish look to them that is super cute. The wires are sterling silver whereas the actual hedgehog piece is made of nickel silver, brass and copper and then hand painted. I am allergic to nickel but I thought these would be okay for me seems how the hedgehog part does not go through my ear.  Unfortunately, they have irritated my ears anyway so I have only been wearing them for a short lengths at a time. However, they sell for just $13.95 and I am certainly okay with not being able to wear them all the time considering their reasonable price, and seems how the posts themselves are sterling silver I would imagine that most people would wear them full time anyway.

I like dangle earrings but sometimes earrings are long enough that they get caught in my hair or poke the side of my head at night, etc and these haven’t done that so I think they are the perfect length for dangle earrings for me. I also love that these earrings are made here in the USA so you can feel great about spending money on them.
