I have two little girls. They are 4 and 6 years old. Since my oldest was just a couple years old, we have been buying School Zone educational products. We wanted our girls to view learning as fun. We never wanted them to feel that studying was a chore. To help instill good studying habits, we try to always have a supply of School Zone workbooks, software, flash cards, and other products on hand for them to use.
School Zone products are made for a wide range of ages. They have several products that cover many school subjects. All of the School Zone products were designed to be fun and educational.
Cheyenne is advanced for her age. She just turned 4, but is learning most of the skills taught in kindergarten. To keep her learning momentum rolling, I chose kindergarten products for her. For our review, School Zone sent her Reading Readiness K-1, Big Kindergarten Workbook and Hidden Pictures Alphabet Activity Zone Workbook.
Reading Readiness K-1 emphases letter order and matching, beginning and ending sounds, ordering, sequencing, classification, number words, colors, rhyming words, picture words and positional words. This is a great workbook to help your kiddo learn the skills needed for reading.
Big Kindergarten Workbook has lessons on early math, reading readiness, following directions, classifying shapes, letter sounds, recognizing and writing numbers, telling time, counting money, comparing and contrasting, weather and seasons, cause and effect, problem solving and more. This workbook covers just about everything taught in kindergarten.
Hidden Pictures Alphabet Activity Zone Workbook is a fun way to practice recognizing letters, objects and sounds. It also encourages hand-eye coordination and attention to details.
Using School Zone products helps us reinforce the lessons that Cheyenne will be taught in kindergarten. Not only will she recognize the lessons as they are presented, but hopefully she will be able to better grasp the material.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

Great info, my son is entering 5th grade and I have made him read 4-5 times a week, and do math 2 times a week to keep his brain ready!
We have no choice at any age but to keep them moving forward!

I’ve used Preschool-Second grade Big workbooks. I honestly believe they are the reason my kids keep up, if not keep ahead.
