Thank you BoxSox
for providing me with products to review, free of charge.
These are my own honest opinions.
I know, I know, the intention behind a gift is what matters but I’m sure you’ll all agree that a good looking present makes a great first impression. I personally like wrapping presents. I try to find cute wrapping paper or a bag that I think the person will like and I always look for unique materials to wrap my presents. Since I like all things green, I love the option of upcycling or reusing materials but I’m not necessarily willing to compromise on the overall look of the present. I still want something that is pretty and easy to use.
That’s the genius behind a whole new line of products called BoxSox. What is a BoxSox? It’s a stretchable, reusable gift wrap that slides over a box. The wrapping material is in fact Spandex, sewn to fit snuggly onto a box. Each BoxSox kit comes with the Spandex gift wrap, a box in a matching size (there are 5 different sizes available from a trinket-sized box to a large 19” x 12” x 5” box), some tissue paper, a perfectly sized ribbon sewn directly onto the gift wrap, and a small card. It’s everything you need all packaged together!
Of course, BoxSox comes in many different prints for all occasions! Check out below some of the colorful options they offer:
For this review, I received 2 small BoxSox, one in 60’s Geo Orange, one in Black & Grey Skulls. As I mentioned before, both come with a perfectly sized box, a matching ribbon, tissue paper, and a gift card. The BoxSox is very intuitive to use. There’s no complicated folding or knotting, all you do is stretch it over the box, making sure the corner seams are over the corners of the box. Click here if you’d like to see a How To video. All in all, it takes no more than a couple minutes to have a beautifully wrapped present!
I like that the ribbon is sewn in place so you never misplace it and have to look for a ribbon that fits. It’s also the perfect size to wrap around the box and tie. There is a small piece of Velcro at the back of the BoxSox to keep it in place. It fits snugly enough that there is no risk of it falling off but the Velcro keeps it from bunching up.
I really like how convenient the BoxSox are and I hope that they will keep adding more prints as they grow, and maybe add more sizes too. The main downside I can find at the moment is the price. It is of course quite a bit more expensive than paper wrap or bags but when you think about it, each BoxSox will be used dozens of time so in the long run, it will pay for itself. Plus I love the pay-it-forward idea that comes with the BoxSox: you offer a present wrapped in a BoxSox to a friend, who will use it to wrap a present for her cousin, who will use it to wrap a present for her neighbor, etc. Who knows, it might even come right back to you!
I think it’s a great way to make people think green when it comes to gift wrap. Plus the designs are so cute, you don’t even have to compromise on style! I plan on slowly building my stash of BoxSox, buying different prints and sizes until I have a good enough selection. I think these will come in really handy to wrap all our Christmas present in record time!

I didn’t know this even existed! My kids would love the blue ribbon on skulls! This is the EASIEST thing I can think of to cut down on wrapping!

Ok this is AWESOME! My hubby always gives me grief for my horrendous wrapping skills, or lack thereof. This would be awesome.
I didn’t even realize a product like this existed!!! How fabulous, especially for Christmas time. Just thinking of the many presents to wrap each year is overwhelming … hehe
