Cocoon Couture began in 2004 when two creative Moms (Mums) got together and decided to launch children’s products that were unique, creative and well made.   They focus their energies on room accessories and children’s bean bag furniture items.

For our review, we received a pink Butterfly Bean Bag.

The Butterfly Bean Bag chair has an absolutely delightful butterfly and heart design on the front.   The bag is made of 100% cotton pin wale cord. Not only did we receive what appears to be a very well made chair but also an equally durable liner for the chair.  The liner appears to be made out of a heavy (but definitely not too heavy) linen fabric.

I was very impressed with the child proof (safe) zipper on the outside of the bag.  There is no little pully thing on the zipper so children can’t unzip it and get inside the bag, empty all the beans and turn your room into a snow globe or do any other unsafe acts while Mom glances away for 30 seconds.   The adult takes a paper clip and stick it into the zipper head (I guess that’s what it’s called) and uses that to pull down/open the zipper.   What an ingenious idea!

Cocoon Couture bean bag chairs are just the right size for a child to curl up on while reading a book.  Instead of filling ours with those Styrofoam beans, we packed ours with stuffed animals. It helps solve one of our biggest problems, where to store the massive collection of stuffed animals my daughters have acquired. Even with stuffed animals inside the chair, it still relaxed enough that a child could very easily and comfortably nestle/snuggle into it.

What a wonderful piece of furniture to make a child’s room unique and “their own”.
