Some of you may remember a review that I did last year of MollaSpace products as part of our Holiday Gift Guide. I recently received their new catalog and was excited to discover their new products!

MollaSpace features many young designers, mostly from Asia but also from other countries around the world. The result is a unique compilation of home accessories that you won’t find anywhere else!

For this review, I received 2 items: a Door Hanger and a Paper Pot.

The Door Hanger is shaped like a cute little man with either 1 or 2 arms reaching up (my little guy only has one arm up). It fits over any standard door and is made of stainless steel. It measures approximately 6” by 4”. Both feet can be used as hooks so you can hang towels, coats, hats, bags, anything you want really. Each door hanger has a large drop of sweat cut out on its face because he’s working so hard not to fall off. I think it’s a really cute and quirky version of the typical boring metallic hooks that you find everywhere. I have mine on the bathroom door to hold towels but it would work equally well on an office door or a dorm door.

The second product I received is a Paper Pot. It’s a spherical, modern-looking tissue paper or toilet paper holder. It comes in 6 colors: white, blue, green, orange, pink, and black (matte finish). Each Paper Pot has a top and bottom piece so you even create your own color combinations to fit your home decor.

I received a blue Paper Pot and I’d say it’s more of a teal or turquoise color which fits perfectly in my bathroom. I like that I can use it for tissues as well as toilet paper. I opted to use it as a toilet paper holder for now because ever since we moved (almost a year ago!), I haven’t found a toilet paper holder that I like, that also fits our modern looking bathroom, and that is affordable. It’s really easy to change a roll, even my husband can do it! You simply open the top, put the roll on the dispenser, push a bit of toilet paper through the top opening and put the top back on. The only thing is that you can’t use really big toilet paper rolls because they get jammed and the toilet paper tears when you try to pull it out. A regular-sized toilet paper roll fits perfectly though. The steps are similar for tissues except that you simply lay them on the dispenser.

Overall, I’m really satisfied with both products. I like the quirky design of the Door Hanger, yet it is very versatile and will fit in virtually any decor because it’s in stainless steel. The Paper Pot has a neat design, that combines a modern aesthetics and function. I like that it can be used for tissues and for toilet paper. The variety of colors and many possible color combinations mean that you can easily coordinate it with your decor. I especially appreciate the fact that neither items can be found at big box stores and will add a unique touch to our home.
