I definitely love makeup. I like putting it on, and doing it for friends and family. I’m always looking for new makeup products to try out, and stumbled across Vasanti Cosmetics while I was checking out some new makeup brands. Vasanti Cosmetics is a Canadian based, and made line that sells worldwide. They offer a wide range of products that are made from high quality, raw ingredients. I was very excited to be able to try out some Vasanti products for myself!
I received the following products from Vasanti to review:
I received the Kajal Extreme Eyeliner in Electric Navy, the Instant Pick Me Up Color Correcting Illuminator in CC 1.0, the Conditioning Long Lash Mascara, and the Ultra Luxe Lipstick with Peptide Technology in Cool Aussie.
For the most part, I really liked each of these products. The Vasanti Kajal Extreme Eyeliner in Electric Navy was a really intense blue. Here is a picture of the blue color. I apologize for the bluriness of the close-up pictures, I could not get my camera to focus on them, however, you can see the colors despite the bluriness.
One feature I really liked about this eyeliner is that it has a sharpener on the end. I always lose my pencil sharpeners, and never have one handy when I need to sharpen my eyeliner, so I really liked that add on. You really had to push the pencil in the sharpener pretty hard to get the pencil to sharpen the first time, but after that it worked perfectly. The eyeliner itself went on really smoothly. The pencil is soft, and pretty much just glides on. It does get a bit smudgy after awhile, if you extend the eyeliner out from your eyes, or line under your eyes, but it was no more so than normal pencils. Also, the fact that it smudges makes it easy to smooth out the line after applying, or create a smokey eye effect.
The Vasanti Cosmetics Ultra Luxe Lipstick With Peptide Technology in Cool Aussie was also really nice. I’m personally not a fan of “scientific jargon” as I call it, since I’m rather well versed in the sciences. Peptide technology doesn’t really mean much, if you know what a peptide is. In this case, the peptide technology they’re referring to is a specific ingredient in the lipstick, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, which has been shown to increase lip volume, and smooth the lip surface. So, that’s what the peptide technology refers to. I didn’t particularly notice any reduction in lines, or an increased lip volume, but I did really like the lipstick. I really liked the color, seen below:
It’s a really light, pretty pink. The lipstick is really soft, and felt great on my lips. It’s quite sheer, but if you simply apply more, you can make it darker. That makes it nice so that you can decide whether you want a lot of color, or just a little bit.
When it comes to mascara, I’m really picky. I thought that the Conditioning Long Lash Mascara was pretty good, especially for a water proof mascara. I normally hate water proof mascaras, but this one wasn’t clumpy like most of them get. I still feel like you get less volume with water proof mascaras, and this was true for this mascara as well, but it’s definitely the best water proof mascara that I’ve ever used.
I also enjoyed the Instant Pick Me Up Color Correcting Illuminator. The CC 1.0 is the lightest color they have. I am very fair, and often the lightest color isn’t light enough. However, I thought this worked really well as a concealer. It blended in with my skin really well, and wasn’t too dark for me. The Instant Pick Me Up Color Correcting Illuminator has it’s own brush at the end, that the liquid goes on to, this makes for really easy application. It can also be used as an illuminator, or brightener, rather than a concealer. You can use it to highlight your face, and it works well for that as well.

I think they all look pretty good! The concealer definitely blends in with my skin really well, which is really hard when you’re as pale as I am. Overall, I really liked these makeup products from Vasanti. I’d definitely recommend checking them out!
