I am so excited to have gotten the chance to review the Baby Bullet.  I know it has been around for a while, but I didn’t make Little C’s food.  We bought baby food instead.  After doing some research I decided that it would be worth the time to try making my own baby food for Baby A when the time comes.  When I received the Baby Bullet I immediately took out the user manual and cookbook because I was curious about how time consuming this process would be.  Well, I found out some pretty interesting things about baby food that makes me so proud that I chose to take the time to make food for Baby A.  After reading some of the facts, I will not use jar food unless it is an emergency.  Besides I feel like since I am already making food for the rest of the family I might as well make it for Baby A as well.

I’m not big on reading user manuals because most of the time I feel like it is a waste of time.  I’m sure I could learn valuable information about everything I own if I would just read the manual, but I’m not quite sure that will ever happen.  I am proud to say that I did look over the whole manual for the Baby Bullet, lol.  There is excellent information regarding how to use the Baby Bullet all the way to having some pretty awesome recipes.  I plan on Baby A trying out a lot of different foods, which Little C didn’t have the opportunity to do.

Upon receiving the Baby Bullet I had no idea how much stuff would come with it.  I was rather impressed that you didn’t have to go buy a bunch of extra stuff like you do with so many products. The Baby Bullet comes with 20 pieces including 1 high-torque power base, 2 stainless steal blades, 3-piece batchbowl, 1 short cup, 1 spatula, 1 batch tray with 1 lid, 6 date-dial storage cups, 1 stay fresh resealable lid and 1 storage tray.  It looks to me that is all you need.  The two blades that you get are called a milling blade and a the baby blend blade.  The baby blend blade is used to make purees and blending food.  The milling blade is used for milling grains for cereals.  Just make sure that you only use the milling blade on the short cup, not on the batchbowl.  I absolutely love the date dial storage cups.  You can make ample amount of baby food, especially when you are first starting out and have to feed your baby the same food for a week to make sure they aren’t allergic to it.  The cups are refrigerator safe and you simply pick the date on the cup that you made the food so that you don’t have to guess later on.  I also love the batch tray.  If your baby has a favorite food or if you just make too much all you have to do is put the extra food in the batch tray, put the lid on it and stick it in the freezer.  When you are ready to use the food you simply pop the food out of the container.  It is really that easy.

Of course my baby hasn’t been born yet so I haven’t made a huge amount of baby food, but I did actually try the Baby Bullet out to see how it really worked.  I used some left over black eyed peas that we had after dinner one night.  I simply put the peas in the batchbowl and added a 1/4 cup of water.  I used the baby blend blade.  I was a little afraid that there may be chunks of peas or that there would be little pieces of skin from the black eyed peas that a baby could easily get choked on, but after making the food the texture was perfect.  I went through the batch and didn’t feel anything that would cause me concern.  I am so thankful for the recipes in the user manual and I am so excited to get started making baby food.

If you are looking into making your own baby food or know someone who is make sure to check out everything the Baby Bullet has to offer.  You can also find more information on Facebook and Twitter.  Make sure to enter to win your very own Baby Bullet below!  Good Luck!
