Thank you Genie Bra
for providing me with products to review, free of charge.
These are my own honest opinions.

genie bra logoI was recently offered the opportunity to test some of Genie Bra‘s most popular bras as well as some of their new designs. I’d seen ads and was familiar with the brand but I’d never had a chance to wear them myself. Being at the end of my pregnancy, I thought comfortable seamless bras would definitely be a great addition to my lingerie drawer.

Here are some facts about Genie bras:

  • They are made of 96% Nylon and 4% Spandex.
  • They are washing machine and dryer safe.
  • They are seamless and have no underwires.
  • Most models come in a range of colors. Some products like the Custom Bra come in 3 colors: white, black, nude.
  • Genie Bra now offers a range of products including briefs, camisoles, leggings, as well as modesty and boost pads.

For the review, I received 3 bras: a Classic in black, a Milana in white, and a Custom in nude. I got all 3 models with modesty pads which work great and stay in place.

genie bra classicThe Classic bra is the one you’ve probably seen on TV. It’s the original seamless, super comfortable bra that started it all! It is now available in 18 colors, from neutrals to pastels to bold colors. This bra has no hooks, no adjustable straps, no underwires. The stretchy fabric is what makes the bra comfortable and it’s also the reason you don’t need to adjust it.

I thought at first that it might be too tight in certain places but that isn’t the case at all. What also surprised me is that even though it stretches, it still provides good support. The rouched center helps to create definition and provides shape so unlike a sports bra, you won’t feel that your bust is compressed and you’ll get a great look, even under a t-shirt or camisole. This bra works really well under tight tops and it’s so comfortable you can even sleep in it!

genie bra milanaThe Milana bra is designed like the Classic bra but it has a lace detail sewn on the front. It’s as comfortable and easy to wear at the Classic bra. The lace is a nice detail and I like to wear it under tops that show a little too much cleavage. It replaces a camisole perfectly without adding an extra layer of fabric and stays in place so you don’t have to worry about showing too much skin.

genie bra custom 2The last bra I received for review is the new Custom bra. It takes convertible bras to a whole new level! How? Just like the other Genie bras, it is seamless and has no underwires. It provides great support and definition but the straps are where the magic happens. The straps are narrow and adjustable like on regular bras and they can be attached to any of the 30+ hook placements along the entire top of the bra. You can choose to position the straps to they cross at the back or at the front, you can attach a strap in a halter, or have them cross over one shoulder. It offers way more possibilities than any other convertible bra I’ve seen. I have yet to find a dress or a top that I can’t wear with the Custom bra.

Because the Genie bras are one-piece, it is really important to refer to their sizing chart when ordering to make sure you get the most comfortable fit. These bras don’t come in regular cup sizes, only in S, M, L, etc. and this size may or may not be the same as your usual top size so do take a couple minutes to take your measurements before you order. I measured my bust before ordering and got a perfect fit.

Overall, I am really pleased with all 3 bras. I like the simplicity of the Classic bra, the added lace detail on the Milana, and the multitude of possibilities that the Custom bra offers! I’m glad I got to try all 3 models and I’m definitely thinking about getting more.

  • Finding a bra that is comfortable can be difficult. Thanks for your review and your thoughts.

  • I’ve seen them advertised, but have never tried them… I’m addicted to the lift I get with underwire… I do like the idea of the lace bra that allows you to wear it like a cami – I think that’s the first one I’d try

  • I will have to look for these. I need new bras desperately and always hate trying them on. So hard to find ones that really fit well but these look great.

  • They do look very comfortable.

  • This sounds like the perfect bra! Mine are always so uncomfortable.

I guess I’m the only person that absolutely hates these. They are horrible to put on as the straps keep coming unhooked. It even came unhooked while I was just sitting at my desk, in the back. I had to wear it as strapless the rest of the day. The only good thing it stays in place. I tried posting thus review 3 times on the genie website and they won’t publish it. I love all of their other products, but this one I do not.

I’ve heard of this bra and think I’d try it. I have loved the Ahhh bra and others that I purchased from HSN. I’m pretty sure they still sell these and probably with many other styles by now.
