Thank you Jules & Jim Maternity

These are my own honest opinions.
What do guys know about maternity wear? Even though they’re obviously not wearing the clothes themselves, guys like Jules and Jim definitely know what’s flattering and what’s ‘wearable’. Jules goes for a touch of sexiness whereas Jim goes for a classic and refined look. Together, Jules and Jim have created beautiful looks, entirely designed and made in Canada, and loved by pregnant women because of their comfort and urbane style.
Now that I am over 36 weeks pregnant, I have to say there isn’t much in my wardrobe that is pleasing on my body. At this stage, I’m not ashamed to admit that favor comfort over style. With Jules & Jim Maternity though, I didn’t have to compromise one for the other. They offer tons of gorgeous maternity clothes, always keeping in mind that the clothes they design have to be wearable. Choosing a piece from their Fall Collection felt like shopping for ‘real’ clothes which was definitely a great experience considering how long it’s been since I wore regular clothes.
Because they follow the latest fashion trends, you’re sure to find something you like. This season, grays, black, red, blue and teal are in the spotlight. Their collection is cohesive so you can create many different looks with just a few pieces. Versatility is a big plus for me when it comes to maternity wear because I don’t want to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to end up with just a couple outfits. Take a look at some of their stylish looks from the Fall/Winter 2013 Collection:
For this review, I received a beautiful tunic. It looks like blue denim or chambray but it’s actually a much thinner and softer blend of cotton and tencel. It has a faux leather ribbon that ties under the chest to accentuate a mama-to-be’s curves in a very flattering way.
The tunic is very easy to put on (buttons at the front) and is super soft and light. I’ve been wearing it regularly for the past few weeks and it’s held up very well to the many washes with no noticeable shrinking, fading or pilling. The only thing I would change is the length. I’m only 5’4” and I feel it’s a little long on me. It falls a little lower than my mid-thigh so it could have been a few inches shorter in my opinion. If you’re taller than me, that won’t be a problem at all though.
I chose this piece because I felt it would pretty with leggings which is basically my favorite thing to wear at the moment. I wasn’t wrong: it looks really good with black or gray leggings, or if you’re going for a bolder look, try the tunic with a pair of golden or silvery leggings!

I adore that black dress on the end. I would wear a non-maternity version of that right now. Good luck in your last few weeks.

That is really adorable! I’m glad it’s held up to washing – that was one of my big maternity pet peeves because I only invested in a few pieces and wore the heck out of them.

I hated everything when I was pregnant but these clothes are adorable. And you look great.

So cute! When I has my kids 100 years ago, the clothes were not nearly as cute as these! Jealous! And you look so cute 🙂
I am having the same issue with my wardrobe. I’m only 27 1/2 weeks, but things aren’t fitting right yet my maternity clothing is still a little big. I’m going to check out this brand because I need a few more pieces for cooler weather.
