My two darling daughters are not the most patient people in the world. I put all of the blame on their mom! Yep, they picked this up from me. All three of us, seem to “want what we want, when we want it”, but I don’t think that is necessarily a bad thing…as long as we are willing to work for it. I am trying to show them how to work hard for the things that they want in life. “Where there’s a will, there’s a way!” I am also trying to teach us, how to increase our patience. What better way to learn than through a fun game. To help us learn and play, I turned to Blue Orange Games.
For our review, Blue Orange Games sent us their NEW Keekee The Rocking Monkey game.
You might be asking yourself, how is Keekee the Rocking Monkey going to teach this family about patience? Well, let me tell you how. Keekee is a silly monkey that likes to rock back and forth on a giant banana. Keekee also likes to impress his zoo friends by juggling balls. The object of Keekee’s game is to help him juggle balls while balancing on the banana. Players need to add balls to balancing Keekee. Be careful because if you don’t place the right size ball in the perfect spot, Keekee will come crashing down. So you better be patient and focus!
Keekee is a hit in our family! We have played this game over and over. I love that the girls, ages 4 and almost 7 are able to play on their own. If mom and dad decide to sit out a round, the girls are more than able to play this game on their own. It is fun listening to them communicate and strategize their next moves.
Not only does Keekee teach patience but it also builds hand-eye coordination, concentration skills and it encourages cause & effect planning.
Blue Orange Games suggest 1-6 players, ages 3 and up. I feel that this is pretty good as my 4 year old was more than able to actively participate.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us.
