My daughter loves to play with cars. She only had a couple cars to play with and no playmat. I didn’t want to get anything big that would take up all our living room floor because I know how that usually ends up: cars everywhere… that I’m bound to step on and nearly break my neck.

But you know what it’s like: what little wants, little girl gets! (Obviously, I don’t always give in but this time I did.) I wanted to please her but I also had my own criteria so I started looking for a playmat with little cars. I found that Viking Toys, an International Playthings brand, makes one that is perfect for us!

 International Playthings offers tons of different toys and games for newborns all the way to 10+ year old kids. You probably already know many of their brands including Calico Critters, Hello Kitty, Earlyears, ELC, Kidoozie, and award winning toys.

Viking Toys, one of International Playthings brands, makes all kinds of play sets and colorful vehicles. They have everything from race cars to fire trucks, to construction vehicles and airplanes.

The playmat that I received for this review is a good size, measuring approximately 38” by 35” and it’s full of colors. It has wide streets, intersections, parking spots, a roundabout, and a few buildings, everything you need for hours of fun. It comes with 2 cars. Just like all Viking Toys vehicles, there cars are sized for little hands (12 months and up). They have no sharp edges and are durable and safe for teething babies. Oh and if they get dirty or covered in saliva, you can simply put them in the dishwasher!

The most interesting feature of the playmat is that it doubles as a storage tote. You simply fold the sides and secure it with the Velcro tabs. It makes a large tote so you can store all your little cars together. No need to worry about stepping on those cars now!

 My daughter loves to play with her new playmat. She pushes the cars along the streets and parks them in the parking spots. It’s definitely more fun then simply pushing them on the floor. The cars rolls smoothly and are easy for her to hold.

The best part, in my opinion, is that it’s super easy to clean up when she’s done playing. I fold the mat into a storage bin and my daughter throws all her little cars in it. I’m left with a clutter-free living room in just a couple minutes!

Overall, I think our Viking Toys playmat is awesome! I like that everything is contained in the playmat itself. No need to find another storage bin for the little cars! Setting up the mat and putting it away only takes a few seconds. From my daughter’s point of view, the colorful playmat is attractive and fun. The little cars are durable and smooth and easy for little hands to hold.
