The sponsor here at Emily Reviews is Free Country – a company that makes jackets, coats, swimwear and other cold weather clothing and accessories for men, women and kids. Here in Michigan we experience hot summers and cold, snowy winters so we have to own clothing for just about every climate. While we have fall weather for a bit, it doesn’t usually last more than a couple of weeks before it’s feeling like winter which can make jackets and coats hard to figure out. It seems silly to buy a jacket to wear only a couple of weeks a year, but during those couple of weeks its too cold to wear just a top and too warm to wear a winter jacket. This makes Free Country’s 3-in-1 coats a great buy.
I was sent the Anorak 3-in-1 coat for review. They have a thin outer shell plus an inner layer that is thicker and polyfilled for warmth. So, during early fall weather I can wear just the outer layer to keep the wind and a bit of chill out. Once it gets a bit colder, I could wear just the polyfilled inner layer for a nice, thick layer of warmth and then once it’s truly winter I can wear the two together for the most protection from the weather. The inner layer has a VERY soft inside and neck area – almost baby blanket soft. It’s stitched all over in a quilt-like pattern that makes it thin while being filled and warm.
The two layers zip together and there are snaps at each wrist and the back of the neck that help hold the layers together even more. I’ve only had my coat for two days and it’s been pretty warm here so I haven’t put it to the full test yet but I think I will love it once the weather turns a bit cooler. The coat is quite long, the bottom of it completely covers my jean pockets (though I’m only 5′ tall) it definitely won’t let any heat escape out the back of your shirt like shorter coats do.
The center of this coat has a strap that can be tightened to pull it in at the waist, keeping a feminine shape about the entire coat. A similar bungee-like cord is in the hood to keep it tight around your head as well. The hood can completely zip off if you prefer.
The winner of my giveaway will get a women’s 3-in-1 coat from Free Country. Which coat will vary depending on size and availability. The coats range from $160-$180 in value. This giveaway is open to the US and will end 9/9 at 11:59pm EST.

Love these coats! I’m also loving the idea of a jacket worn in a sexy “what is she wearing under that” kind of way. . There’s a video about it on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8i6rYQUQpU and I’m looking forward to rocking my new coat this fall!
