I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Duracell. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
I remember a few times as a child getting holiday or birthday present that I was really excited about so we got it out of the box right away…only to realize that it requires but didn’t include batteries. Waiting a day or two until we could run to the store for some always felt like forever. As a result of that, I always try to double check if gifts that I give require batteries and tape some to the package if they aren’t included. For Christmas, I buy a big package of double and triple A batteries and just tape them to the gifts as I wrap them. Then if any are left over I just keep them for use around my home the rest of the year.
It’s surprising when you stop to think how many products we use that require batteries. Remotes, digital cameras, clocks, toys, electric shavers, smoke alarms, flashlights and handheld game systems just to name a few. When you think about it, batteries really do keep our lives running. Duracell’s new Quantum batteries stand out on the shelf because they’re red in color. They’re designed to last longer than any other battery on the market! They have a PowerCheck function that allows you to check how much power is left in the battery – so no need to guess whether or not the battery is used up or not. To avoid going through more batteries than necessary, I’m giving Duracell Quantum batteries with my holiday gifts that require batteries this year, and keeping some for using at home too.
While it’s frustrating to find batteries have gone dead in our favorite gadgets, and I keep batteries on hand to prevent it from happening, I know that it wouldn’t really matter if I did run out. The gadgets that really have to work all the time are those used by first responders. Keeping working batteries in their gadget means that they are ready and able to save lives – nothing could be more important than that. Duracell recognizes the importance of these devices, so they’ve donated one million batteries to first responders across the country.
To help showcase some of the heroic stories, Duracell has created Quantum Heroes, a documentary style series of videos that shares amazing stories of first responders. The stories are truly touching, be sure to check them out.

I’m just glad these are longer lasting batteries especially with the holidays coming up. My Hubs cam needs AA batteries (strange right?) and the kids electronic and musical toys. Sigh!

I love the Quantum Heroes program! I also love a long lasting battery

Based on incredible amounts of frustration as a child because my parents never got a clue about being prepared with batteries….I’ve always been careful to add them with gifts too! I burn through them like crazy, so I guess I’ll give these a whirl!

I love that there’s a battery guage to test its strength built right into the battery!

I’m looking for some long-lasting batteries but haven’t tried this kind. I wish all my things were rechargeable. I hate throwing out batteries or worse, having to run to the store for more!
Love a good long lasting battery! What a nice series of videos.
