Since I’ve had my dog, I’ve tried a lot of different treats. Luckily for me, my dog isn’t too picky about treats, but she definitely has treats that she likes better than others. Like most dog owners, I really like to spoil my dog now and then with treats, but I also like to make sure they’re healthy and actually good for my dog. Puppy Cakes has a line of dog treats that really make you feel like you’re spoiling your dog! They have cake mixes for dogs, yes cake! They also have a treat they call Puptato Chips! I was very excited to be able to try out some treats from Puppy Cakes.

I really liked the Puptato Chips. My dog always begs and looks so sad when I eat potato chips. I have to say I’ve given her a few now and then, even though I know they’re not good for her (they’re also not good for me, but that’s another story 😉 ). These Puptato Chips were great for those occasions, and for any other time she deserved a treat. Puptato Chips are made from sweet potatoes. They’re dried, not fried, are low calorie, and have a good amount of fiber so they’re great for if your dog has an upset stomach. My dog really liked these Puptato Chips.

The Puppy Cake Banana Mix was also really great. The mix comes with a mix for the cake, and comes with a frosting mix. It was really easy to make. You just add water, oil, and an egg and mix it all together. One of the options was to microwave the cake, and I was super skeptical that microwaving a cake would work, so I just had to try it! And guess what? It worked! I just put it in the microwave for about four minutes. Here were the results:

Looks pretty good, right? The frosting was also really easy. You just mixed the frosting mix with some water. I accidentally added a little bit too much water to mine, so it was a little runny, but it still worked. Here is the frosted cake:

All that was left was to cut out a piece, and then give it to my dog. Here’s how the piece looked:

I gave the piece to my dog, and she was a little hesitant at first. I think she thought I was testing her, since it looked like human food. After I had convinced her that it was really for her, she scarfed it down. She loved it!

Overall, I really liked the cake mix. It was really easy to make, and it was a lot of fun giving my dog pieces of cake to eat!
