Most of us have used those red disposable party cups for BBQ’s, birthday parties and most any celebration that’s large. Then last year when the song about them came out, they seemed to get even more popular and even trendy. While most of us associate those red cups with great times with friends or family, they aren’t very good on the environment. Red Cup Living has created cups that look like the disposable ones and are the same size but that are much more heavy duty, and are designed to be used over and over again. Each cup sells for $6 and is dishwasher safe and BPA and phthalates free.
We’ll be moving in a couple of months and I plan to use these as regular drinkwear just for fun. I’ve used them a few times and like them just fine. Unlike the disposable versions, they don’t have that little dented area in the bottom of the cup – they’re just solid and flat across the bottom so they’re easy to clean. They stack nicely to fit inside of a cupboard. I like them as additions to our random odds and ends of drinking cups. However, getting a large set of them would also allow them to be used in place of the disposable versions for birthday parties, BBQ’s or other gatherings. Overtime, they could pay for themselves as you wouldn’t be wasting money on disposable cups anymore.
In addition to their 180z icon cup like I reviewed, they have an XL 32oz cup, a wine cup, a 2oz shooter cup, coffee mug and more. All of their cups have the red party-cup like design but just in various sizes and shapes. They also sell lids and straws for the cups so that you could take them on the go easily or let little ones use them. If you want to show off your love of red party cups, they even offer hats, t-shirts, stickers and keychains featuring red cup living.
