I love cute shoes. However, I just cannot wear heals. They’re too uncomfortable, make my toes go numb, and just aren’t good for our feet. So, whenever I want to wear nice, cute shoes, I wear flats. They’re just as pretty, stylish, and fancy, without all the pain. Corso Como has a line of ballet flats, Ballasox. They’re comfortable, quality, pretty shoes that come in lots of different colors, patterns and material. I was very excited to be able to review some shoes from Corso Como’s Ballasox line.
I received the following shoes to review:
I received the Elke leopard print with blue Ballasox, and the white and black Ballasox.
The Ballasox has a soft, form fitting sock that’s sewn into a patent leather upper and rubber sole. Each shoe comes with its own carrying pouch. The Ballasox is very form fitting.
I found these shoes to be incredibly comfortable. You don’t have to wear them in, or anything. You just slip them on, and they’re instantly comfortable. They didn’t wear at the back of my ankle, or at the end of my toes like many other flats do. They were also really sturdy. I haven’t had any wear or tear with these shoes.
Like all flats, they don’t have much in the way of arch support. If you’re looking for shoes for lots of walking, or where you’re standing on your feet all day, these might not be for you. But as ballet flats goes, these are definitely some of the most comfortable flats that I’ve ever used. The bottom is nice and cushy, and they didn’t rub on my skin at all.
These shoes are also incredibly stylish. They’re upscale, yet also a bit casual. I like that I can wear them with jeans, or with a nice dress and they look good with both.
The shoes also look good on my feet, and are true to size. I normally wear an 8 1/2, but these do not come in half sizes, so I received a 8. I still fit quite nicely. The shoes have a bit of stretch to them, which helps them fit nicely on different feet shapes. I have rather wide feet, and found that they still fit just fine. I also have really long toes, and I like that these shoes cover up my toes, for the most part. I have a problem with lots of flats that my toes show a lot, and I really don’t like how that looks. However, I don’t have that problem with the Ballasox. My toes do peek out a bit in the Elke, but it’s not really noticeable.
The Elke Ballasox leopard print is a soft fur-like material. It gives it a really unique look. It’s not the best in the rain, but it doesn’t get ruined in it either, so if you end up in a downpour, you don’t have to worry that your shoes will be ruined.
Ballasox come in lots of different colors. For the winter, they have nice fleece-lined pairs. I thought this was a really great idea, because I love wearing my flats in the winter, but my feet get SO cold. Having a fleece lined pair would eliminate that problem, and let me wear them in the winter.
Ballasox even has some really unique looking ballet flat pairs, such as the Micaela, which I have to like, just because it’s my name. 😉 These shoes have leather studded anklet straps, a style I’ve never seen before, but I think is really cute. Ballasox also has rounded toes, or pointed.
Overall, I really like my Ballasox ballet flats. They’re really comfortable, stylish, and go great with a lot of different outfits. I love having cute shoes that don’t kill my feet. Ballasox would make a great holiday gift for any woman or young lady that likes ballet flats. They have so many different colors and styles that you could easily find a pair for just about anyone.

These are super cute! I love ballet flats now that I’m a mom. 🙂

I’m with you on the heels vs. flats. I used to only wear heels, but now I only wear flats! They’re much more comfortable and better for my back. I’d be twisting my ankles constantly now, if I was wearing heels, while trying to keep up with my son. Cute flats!

That leopard print is so cute! If I had a pair of these cuties I’d wear something other than clogs!
These would be perfect for the rest of the formal function, after you’ve grown tired of the heels. I love them!
