*I was provided with Dinosaur Train products in return for this post. All opinions are my own.
My nephew Drew is 3 and over the last couple of months has taken an interest in the show Dinosaur Train that is on PBS. The show is aimed at young children and is genious for combing two popular favorites of the toddler/preschool crowd – dinosaurs and trains into an educational TV show that’s been nominated for an Emmy Award. New episodes are coming in January but for those looking to give their Dinosaur Train loving kids gifts in December, they’ve come out with a line of products that make great affordable gift options.
We Are A Dinosaur family is a DVD that focuses on family (great timing for the holidays!) and a runtime of 100 minutes. Drew loves having Dinosaur Train DVDs so that he can watch the show even when it isn’t live on TV or while he’s in the car, a waiting room, etc. Suggested retail price is just $9.99.
Dinosaur Train: Winter Lights is a golden book where the Pteranodon family visits the North Pole to celebrate winter. The book has a suggested retail price of $3.99 .
If you’re a bit more adventurous, you can let your Dinosaur Train fan decorate his bedroom with Dinosaur Train peel and stick wall decals! They’re designed to be easily removable and reusable, so no worries if your kiddo tries to rip them down one way. The wall decal set is available at Sears and Sears.com for $14.99.
Last but not least, there is a 24 piece jigsaw puzzle called Troodon that is one of six Dinosaur Train themed puzzles available through Karmin. Each puzzle comes with a laminated dinosaur fact card as well. The puzzles are recommended dfor ages 3+ and have a suggested retail price of $4.99. You can find these puzzles at AC Moore, Christmas Tree Shops and other independent retailers.
Drew will love all of these products and he’s at a great age to be able to use and learn from all of them. I love how affordable they are, too. They’d make great stocking stuffers!

They still have these episodes on our local PBS station and each one is a fun adventure for the kids. These make it easy to watch along with the kids and not get bored since they’re pretty entertaining.
