I’ve always been a fan of whiteboards. I like writing on them, and love the convenience of them. However, most white boards aren’t very portable, and just aren’t very attractive. I’d never want to have a traditional whiteboard hung up on my wall. However, WhiteyBoard makes a line of whiteboard items that are portable, and cute. I was very happy to be able to review some items from WhiteyBoard.
I received the following items from WhiteyBoard for review:
I received the WhiteyBoard Notepad, WhiteyBoard Notes, Weekly Whiteboard, Whiteyboard Cloud, and Whiteyboard Quote.
All the products I received from Whiteyboard are peel and stick. You pull them out, stick them on wherever you’d like them to go. And if you want to move them, it’s no problem. You just pull them off, and stick them on somewhere else. There’s no residue that’s left, and it doesn’t peel or destroy paint.
The Whiteboard Notepad and Notes both come with ten each. The Notepad is like a checklist. I thought it was perfect for my fridge, but would be great to put up just about anywhere you might want a re-usable check list.
The Notepads come with a dry erase marker, that works perfectly on their surface. It’s also easy to erase with any sort of cloth, or a paper towel. You can also purchase a specific dry erase cloth from WhiteyBoard.
I tried out the WhiteBoard Quote on my wall first. I found that it was a bit hard to get the Quote on, because it was rolled up so tightly from packaging. I would definitely recommend flattening it out as much as you can before you try to put it up somewhere. My walls are also bumpy from texturing, so the Quote never went on completely smooth.
Because my walls are bumpy from texturing, this made the Quote bumpy, and made writing on it pretty hard. While I don’t have the best of handwriting, it’s normally not THAT bad. I decided because of all the bumps, and it being hard to write on, that I should move the Quote. When moving it, it was really easy to peel off. I decided to put it on my fridge instead, since that’s a smooth surface. Even after it had been on the wall, it stuck to the fridge really easily, and hasn’t peeled back, or lost any of its stickiness since.
Here is the Quote on my fridge:
As you can see, it looks a lot better on the fridge’s smooth surface. It’s a lot easier to write on there, and the writing comes out clearer, and neater. I’ve liked having it on the fridge simply as a decorative item, but also for practical uses, such as making grocery lists. It feels just like a whiteboard when you’re writing on it, and it erases really easily, without leaving any residue.
Overall, I liked my items from WhiteyBoard. I would recommend applying the larger items, such as the Quote or Cloud only to smooth surfaces. If you have nice, smooth walls, they would work great on those. WhiteyBoard also makes whiteboards, whiteboard paint, chalkboards, and other stick-on whiteboard products.
The WhiteyBoard items would make a great holiday present for a teen or child, or anyone with children, or who would enjoy a unique whiteboard. It makes a really fun decorative piece for a room that kids of all ages could enjoy.
