I received Jennie-O product coupons in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own.
Every day, I dread preparing our family dinner. We are a family of four and each has different “likes and wants” in our meals. I want healthy, quick and easy meals for my family. My husband would love to have meat and potatoes every night. My kids just want something that tastes good and is fun to eat. We have a few meals that please everyone so we seem to eat those over and over. I try expanding our menus by introducing new foods and different meal combinations; sometimes they pass and sometimes they fail.
A while back, I made a turkey and vegetable stir-fry using Jennie-O turkey breast tenderloins. Turkey breast tenderloins are extra lean; they are 99% fat free, only have 75 mg of sodium per serving and contain 26g of protein. The turkey and vegetable stir-fry was a big success with everyone in the family. The flavor combination of turkey, onion, carrots, pea pods and broccoli was delicious. We used chopsticks which made dinner time fun for my young daughters. We didn’t have any leftovers that night, which means our family, enjoyed the meal.
I have made other meals with Jennie-O products before and have been very happy with each of them. I plan to continue trying new recipes with Jennie-O. If you need some meal inspirations (like I do), check out the Jennie-O website. They have several meal ideas. You can sort recipes by: grilling, favorite meals, easy meals, nutrition & diet, international and courses. I think after our holiday gatherings, I will try the Black Bean Turkey Chili with Bean recipe I found on the Jennie-O website.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

We have so many food recalls that I tend to only trust the well known brand names like Jennie-O. I’ve even found them for sale at our 99 cent store so they are affordable too.

Big fan of Jennie-o !!! first time I ever used was to do a turkey breast in a crock pot. This looks and sounds easy going to make this
Thanks Laurie, we eat a lot of chicken in our house, mostly because its healthy and low fat but also because its easy to cook. Turkey sounds like a great idea to change it up a bit – hadn’t even thought of that! Going to give it a go and give it the “child test”!!
