Technology is really advancing fast and there are many options out there.  Unfortunately, they are not all created equally.  We have purchased three different mice for our desktop and laptop computers within the past 6 months only to be disappointed each and every time.  Since I know technology has come a long way, I knew they must be something better than what we had purchased and went on a hunt.  Then it hit me.  I had visited Logitech’s website months ago and was really impressed with their iPad accessories so I headed back to check out what they could offer me in the mice department.  It turns out, a lot and I was happy to partner with Logitech when they offered to sent me a T631 to review.  The T631 is for use with Mac products and the T630 carries identical features for use with all other brand desktop and laptops.

Immediately, I noticed how sleek the T631 Mouse is.  We were previously using a corded Apple/Mac mouse that was big, bulky, and didn’t work very well.  The scrolling button has quit working for the down scroll within a month of purchasing so we were quite disappointed in the Apple/Mac mouse.  The T631 is only about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide and only requires a fingertip to operate.  The built-in precision sensor responds quickly to even light touches.  No scrolling button to worry about malfunctioning.

The T631 is not the first cordless mouse we’ve tried but we were left unhappy with our previous Bluetooth mouse because it ate batteries like crazy.  The corded Apple/Mac mouse we were currently using was a pain as well because, even though it didn’t take batteries, the cord was always in the way.  Logitech has solved both of these problems for us.  The T631 is cordless and rechargeable.

The T631 is in active use for 3+ hours a day and I have yet to remember to turn it off when not in use.  During use about five days into testing, the mouse died.  I was able to easily connect it to the (included) USB cord and was able to be back to work within a couple minutes.  The Quick Charge feature allows one minute of charge time to provide about an hour of use.  Amazing.  I love that we are not replacing batteries constantly.

Another really special feature that the T631 comes equipped with is the ability to switch between multiple Mac computers.  There is a button on the back that allows Bluetooth set up to toggle between my Mac Desktop and Macbook.

We really like the Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse and give it two enthusiastic thumbs up.  The setup didn’t quite follow the instructions but we were able to figure it out within a couple minutes.  I imagine it was probably something in our particular Desktop that was “messed up” and that’s why we had a couple extra steps to getting the T631 connected.  With that being said, we could have saved ourselves quite a bit of money, time, and frustration had we turned to Logitech first.  I hope by sharing our experience, I can save others the same frustrations we’ve experienced.
