Nowadays, everyone has important data that they keep on their electronic devices. And most of us have had a laptop, or computer that crashed, and we lost our data. External hard drives are a great way to back up data, and are also a great way to transport data. Most external hard drives that have adequate space on them are quite bit. However, Seagate has aa hard drive called the Slim, which has 500 gb of space, and is super slim. I was very happy to be able to try out the Seagate Slim drive.

I received the Seagate Slim portable external hard drive. The Seagate Slim comes in black, or silver metal finish. It is a 500 gb hard drive, comes with a 3.0 USB cord for data transfer, and also contains the Seagate Dashboard, which lets you backup and share your data quickly and easily.

So does the Seagate Slim live up to its name? Is it really slim? When I pulled it out of the box, I was so surprised how small it was. I’ve had external hard drives that I thought were small, but this one is tiny!

Since the Seagate Slim external hard drive is so small, that makes it really portable. It’s very easy to use this to transport data, if you need to bring some files to the office, or the library or school. This could easily replace a thumb drive, which has such limited data storage space. I can very easily fit this into my purse. It’s also so easy to store, since it’s so small!

I really like that the Seagate Slim has a USB 3.0 cable. For those unfamiliar with USB 3.0, it is the newer USB port and cord. Most newer computers and laptops have USB 3.0 ports on them now, and it allows for much faster data transfer, 10 times faster. That means you can transfer your data a lot faster with this hard drive.

I also like that despite it’s small size, the Seagate Slim holds 500 gb of data. That’s a lot of data, as much data space as my own laptop has. That allows me to more than back up all the data on my laptop, plus some.

The Seagate Slim is competitively priced at $69.99 at most retailers. For the amount of space on it, and the size, it’s a really great price. The Seagate Slim also comes with a 2 year warranty.

Overall, I really enjoy the Seagate Slim portable external hard drive. It’s so small, and convenient, and is a great way to back up and hold whatever data I want, and also a perfect way to transfer data simply and easily. The Seagate Slim would make a great holiday gift for anyone that would need to back up their data, which is just about anyone!
