Think Fun is a company that was launched in the mid-1980s by an entrepreneurial husband and wife team.  Their goal was to develop and produce simple games that helped kids get in touch with their inner engineer, mathematician and/or inventor abilities.  What better way to pull those sometimes hidden talents out of a child than thru play.   Although their toys have changed throughout the last almost 30 years, the concept is still the same—to play and learn at the same time.

Hello Sunshine hike and seek learning game is suited for children 18 months and older.  It comes with a brightly colored yellow plush sun, a parents’ guide that includes instructions, and a set of 18 double-sided playing cards.   These cards give you and your child 36 ideas where and how you can play hide and seek with your Hello Sunshine.  Is it under a blanket?   Maybe it’s in front of a door?    Or is it next to a chair?

This came not only teaches your child language skills, but also how to follow instructions and improves gross motor skills.  Your child will learn what “next to” means as compared to “under”, “over”, “behind” and “in”….just to mention a few.  The 18 double-sided playing cards are just the right size for small hands to grasp and control.  The cards not only say where to hide Hello Sunshine but they also include a picture so your child can see what he or she is supposed to do.

Not only is this an enjoyable game for your child and you, but Hello Sunshine is so soft and huggable that it’s bound to become one of your child’s favorite cuddle toys.  Because Think Fun is so good at what they do, they thought of this during their development stage and made sure Hello Sunshine was the perfect size for your young one to carry and hold.

Think Fun also knows that it’s sometimes difficult to keep game pieces together so they made a pocked on the underside of Hello Sunshine where you can store your playing cards!

I think Hello Sunshine from Think Fun makes a great holiday gift for toddlers because it is both entertaining and educational.
