This is a compensated post. All opinions are my own.
I’m a really picky shopper for myself because I want to see all of my options before making a decision. I can’t just walk into a store and grab the first thing, I have to compare everything. I have a really hard time picking out gifts for people because I’m not sure which of the options they would prefer. So, I sort of have a love/hate relationship with registries. On one hand, it’s great to know that the recipient wants the item that you buy on their registry. On the other hand, I have a big family so our registries get picked over quickly. I’ve looked up multiple registries from my family before and all that was left was $60+ items and I’m 22 so I just don’t have that kind of money to spend on a cousins wedding, birthday, baby, etc.
RegistryFinder.com is a pretty basic idea but they take the fuss work out of registries, which I love. You visit the site and type in the name of one of the people named on the registry, and then select which type of registry it is (Wedding, baby or other) and the site will bring up all of the places that the person is registered! From there you simply click on the store that you want to view and it’ll bring up the registry.
Last summer we had a wedding to go to and the couple registered at three different places. “Great!” I thought when I opened the invitation – I won’t be stuck buying a $60 item because that’s all that’s left. I pull up the three retailers sites to discover that all of them have forms to be filled out that require date type, name, whether they are bride/groom and event date. So I fill them out and check over the lists. I decide that I’m pretty sure I want to get something from “store a” so I close out the second tab. Then I hesitate so I have to bring “site b” back up and fill out the form again. We get ready to leave so I close everything down and later have to open all 3 sites back up before I can remember what I thought I was going to purchase, only to discover that someone else purchased the item I was planning to get. So I’m back to all 3 sites trying to decide. By the time that I finally made up my mind, I had lost count of how many times I had filled out those forms. I wish I had known that I could just type in 2 bits of info on RegistryFinder.com and then access all of the registries at once!
My cousin had a baby last year also and for her event I found myself going back and forth several times as well. In that case, she had double-registered for some items by accident. After I realized that some things were listed on multiple sites and had been purchased on one site but were showing up as not yet purchased on another, I kept double checking both registries to make sure that my item hadn’t been purchased at either store yet. Using RegistryFinder.com’s quick and easy form to access the registry would have saved me time then too.
It’s also a great way to find registries that you aren’t familiar with. So many invites have tiny slips of paper in them for the registry info. If you lose them, you can use RegistryFinder.com to find the registries!

Thanks SO much for this post. I will definitely keep RegistryFinder in my brain when shopping from a registry again.

This is awesome! I have the hardest time shopping from registries, especially when people register at multiple sites.
What a helpful site! Perfect for my newest edition due in March.
