As many of you are aware, I gave birth to my second daughter 3 months ago. If there’s one thing I’ve learned through my pregnancies and the months after is even tough people will tell you you’ll only wear your maternity/nursing clothes for a little while, it actually can feel like a long time… especially if you only purchased a few outfits in the hopes that you’ll be back in your pre-pregnancy clothes by the end of the month.

Even though I did go back to my pre-pregnancy pants quickly with my first baby (not quite as quickly this time but I know I’ll get there), I still nursed her for almost 2 years so having nursing clothes that I liked and felt comfortable in ended up being way more important than I anticipated. So this time around, I knew that I wanted to get a few key pieces that would last me through potentially another 2 years of breastfeeding.

I had reviewed PinkBlush Maternity‘s clothes way back when I was pregnant with my first daughter so I knew right away that They’d have what I was looking for. I wanted to find something versatile and stylish, something that was a little different from my other nursing tops. I ended up going with a beautiful 3/4 Sleeve Belted Maternity and Nursing Dress in black.

The dress is made of rayon with a bit of spandex which makes for a super soft and stretchy fabric. This of course is important with a growing belly but I also like the fabric because it’s very comfortable. The dress has a cute thin teal belt that sits above the belly, creating a nice waistline both pre- and post-pregnancy. I like the length of the dress (a little above the knees) and I wore it with both tights and leggings.

The V-neckline makes it very easy to nurse. However, with my chest size, I find it is a little too revealing not to wear anything underneath. I wear a thin lace camisole that I can pull down when it’s time to nurse my daughter. The other option would be to sew both sides together to control how much cleavage is shown.

I love shopping on PinkBlush Maternity’s webstore. I like how their website is very easy to use and how their inventory is constantly changing with new items added all the time. The website also has tons of photos of their clothes so you know exactly what each item looks like from different angles. This is very important to me when I shop online because obviously, I can’t see it and touch it, nor can I try it on. I feel like good photos are a must otherwise I’d be afraid to purchase something that I’ll regret later when I see it with my own eyes.

I also like that they regularly offer great sales. For example, they have a sale going on now with up to 30% off storewide! If you’re like me, you’re probably thinking ‘how could I not purchase a few maternity/nursing clothes?’

Overall, I am really pleased with my black dress. It’s cute and soft and although I didn’t get a chance to wear it while I was pregnant, I love how easy it is to nurse my daughter in it.
