Roses are a symbol of love and if you’re like me, the scent alone brings back wonderful memories. But did you know that roses have many nutrients that are great for the skin? They contain vitamin A and vitamin C as well as essential fatty acids. The oil that can be extracted from them can hydrate, tone, and heal skin.
Micheal Todd True Organics Rose Collection harnesses the potent power of roses. In this collection, you’ll find a Rose Petal Mask as well as a Damascus Rose Moisturizer, and a Wild Rose Petal Wash. Obviously, these products are made with natural ingredients and contain no parabens, sulfates, and other artificial additives which I find particularly important in skin care products because these would get absorbed directly into the skin.
For this review, I received the Damascus Rose Moisturizer and the Wild Rose Petal Wash. Obviously, the first thing that I noticed from both these products is the amazing scent. When I use them, I can just close my eyes and feel as if I’m in the middle of a huge rose garden! The smell of roses is both sensual and soothing to me so it makes taking care of my skin that much more enjoyable.
The Damascus Rose Moisturizer is an enriched anti-wrinkle cream which is recommended for mature skin as well as dry skin. With the combination of harsh weather and hard water, my skin has been very dry this winter so this moisturizer is greatly appreciated. The first time I applied it, I noticed a difference: my skin was instantly smooth and regained its elasticity. It is recommended to use it twice daily but I find that just once a day is enough to keep my skin moisturized all day. I also find that I need to use very little compared to other creams to get the same level of hydration which means it’ll last longer!
I’ve only been using it for a couple weeks so I can’t comment on how effective it is on wrinkles yet but just for the hydration factor alone, it’s definitely worth it. The combination of peptides, tri-peptides, essential oils of avocado, jojoba, rose hip, wheat germ, carrot seed and more means that your skin will be better able to stay moisturized and smooth, and will better resist environmental stressors.
The Wild Rose Petal Wash is an antioxidant deodorant body wash. Honestly, each time I use it, the whole bathroom smells amazing! It is made with 70% organic ingredients which makes me love this product even more. In addition to the rosehip seed oil, there is lavender and chamomile which are known for their calming ability as well as tea tree oil and acai which provide antioxidants as well as antimicrobial deodorant protection. It leaves the skin feeling fresh, moisturized, and gently perfumed.
Overall, I really like both products because they are all natural products and because they are very potent. Also, the smell of roses is amazingly sensual and soothing.

I love learning about new organic skin care products. Many people forget that our skin is our biggest organ so we need to be careful what we put on it.
Although I only heard of products like rosehip oil and rose water, it is interesting to try Michael Todd True Organics Rose Collection because it is natural and organic. I want to try Damascus Rose Moisturizer and the Wild Rose Petal Wash but I did not know if the brand’s website has global shipping option.
I really enjoy trying sample sizes of new products and often decide if I want to invest more money in them, based on my experience. I too love the rose scented oils. I used to grow roses and the scent always takes me back to my lovely rose garden!

I love rose scent but really didn’t know about how beneficial rose oil is. These sound like lovely products!
