All children are unique. As a mother to four very different children, I am amazed at how even siblings have such different personalities, learning styles, and communication styles. One thing to note. The HearBuilder Collection is available in both a CD format or an online subscription at a variety of price points to accommodate individual, family, or classroom needs. While the Home Collection is perfect for us and is able to accommodate 1 to 4 children, Super Duper Publications offers other formats for up to 40 students. They have also provided this series as a complete collection of skills: Auditory Memory, Following Directions, Phonological Awareness, and Sequencing or customers can purchase individually based on their particular child’s needs. I love the flexibility Super Duper Publications has offered in being able to focus on one particular skill at a time but, based on our personal experiences, I would recommend the complete set so that the child can rotate and stay intrigued.
Our 6 and 8 year old have been working on their skills with HearBuilder daily since we opened the cd. (Actually, I have had to start limiting how long they could work on HearBuilder because they love it so much and wanted to forgo their other schoolwork in place of it.) I decided to start them at the beginning and let them advance through all the levels. That way, they were able to get the hang of each program and enjoy scaling through the beginning more quickly with less struggles. As they advance, the program ads more tasks to increase the difficulty and further build each skill. Throughout the duration, the child gets to earn bonuses, play games, and complete missions.

The kids love The HearBuilder programs. They both enjoy working the Sequencing program the best but have both mentioned it’s nice to have different choices to switch to. I like that the program allows us to print out awards as they progress as well. The kids love getting the recognition of working hard too.
As much as our 2 older kids have enjoyed the HearBuilder collection, our son who turned 3 in September is able to engage with these programs too. His favorite is the Auditory Memory program. I’m happy that he is building skills that help him slow down, listen, and comprehend what he hears. He enjoys that it’s a fun game and he gets to be like his older brother and sister. He does struggle with the bonus path building sections and would prefer to just keep working on his skills instead of the small break. As he gets older, I’m sure he’ll enjoy the bonus rounds as much as the other kids do.

Not only do the kids enjoy the perks of working on their skills, I am also able to get an updated progress report any time I would like. Super Duper Publications has conveniently included an easy button to visit and print the reports at my convenience.
