I received product from Personal Microderm for my review. All opinions are my own.
About a year ago, I received a Personal Microderm tool. I love it and still use it often. My mom mentioned she wanted to try a Personal Microderm device to see if it would help even her skin tone and texture. I was jazzed when Personal Microderm was willing to send her a tool for her review. The following are my mom’s words.
Over the years, I’ve used several microdermabrasion products such as creams, buffing agents, etc. but never have I used an actual microdermabrasion “tool”. Upon receiving my PMG (personal microderm) kit, I immediately watched the DVD. I am so glad I did. The DVD is very informative and, had I not watched it, I’m positive I would not have properly used the PMD.
To start, the DVD explains the different items that are included with the PMD and how they are to be used, cared for, etc. The first time the PMD is used, it is recommended that the training discs be used rather than the “real” discs. This allows the user to practice until the correct method is learned.
The first time a person uses their PMD, it is recommended that the blue disc for sensitive skin is used. I did that and I was careful to only go over each area once. I felt no discomfort or sensitivity. The only area that got even slightly red was my chest and the redness disappeared in less than 2 minutes.
Not only is the PMD good for your face, neck, and chest areas but also any other rough areas that you might have. I’m thinking my husband’s rough elbows might benefit from some attention. The PMD comes with two different sizes of discs…. the smallest is for your face and other delicate areas and the larger disc is for your body.
The information booklet supplied with the PMD kit said one white training disc was included and two each of the blue (sensitive skin) and green (medium strength abrasion).
I can honestly say that my skin feels smoother after just one use. The instructions indicate that the PMD should only be used every 6 or 7 days so I need to wait a bit before my next treatment. I can’t wait to see how much my skin improves after my next use.
Thank you Personal Microderm for allowing my mom to finally try PMD.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

My skin is so dry and miserable in the winter. This would be perfect to help freshen it up!

Love the idea of the product – I need to start looking into it – winter hasn’t been kind to my skin

I’ve paid lots of money for microderm appointments and loved the results so I’d like to look into this much more economical solution.
I really like that this has training discs so you can get used to it. That makes me feel much more confident.
