*I was provided with Dogswell treats in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.
My pugs are pretty picky about a lot of things – their toys, where they sit, who they like, etc. So, I am surprised but thankful that they aren’t picky about treats. Despite their willingness to eat almost anything, I have to be selective about which treats I allow them to eat because they have sensitivities to lower quality treats. When I buy cheap food or teats, I notice that my dogs lick and bite their paws a lot, and scratch themselves often. These are signs of allergies. I’ve never had allergy tests done on them so I don’t know exactly which ingredients irritate them, but I know that buying high quality food and treats has eliminated the problem. Dogswell is a brand that offers a variety of dog treats, all of which I find to be pretty high quality. We were recently sent Dogswell Sliders and Dogswell Deli Slices for review. These products are currently on shelves at Petsmart only. They will be available at Petco in June and at Indy Pet in August.
The sliders look like tiny hamburgers. Their first ingredient is animal protein as they are 93% animal protein, they are 100% USA sourced meat, they have added vitamins and supplements, and have NO grains, soy, wheat, gluten or animal by-products. They are a little bigger than a quarter and are soft and easy to tear. I would break one in half and have a half to each dog at treat-time. This made them the perfect size for my smaller dogs but if you wanted to use them as training treats you could make them into tiny pieces if you wanted.
The Dogswell Deli Slices were really similar in the sliders, they have the same benefits and make-up as the Sliders but these are cut thinner and have a slightly different consistency. They are also larger around. They are still pretty easy to tear into small pieces. Both of my dogs liked both of these new treats from Dogswell.
Both products are available in a 2.7oz bag for $9.99.

So the first thing I do is look at the pictures and I was thinking to myself I don’t think I would eat those….lol Then I read that they were for dogs which makes total sense. I will have to share this with my mom she is always looking for some new treat for dog.
Oh my goodness! I’m pretty sure my dog would go nuts for these!
