I received product from Henry’s Humdingers for my review. All opinions are my own.
One night while watching my favorite TV show, Shark Tank, I saw a young man pitch his artesian honey company to the sharks. I was immediately interested in this company because they are a local company for me. Then I was impressed by the young man, Henry, for his business smarts, passion and strength during what must have been a very stressful situation. I immediately wanted to try Henry’s Humdingers artesian honey. I reached out to the company and was surprised to get a reply from Henry’s mom. I love that this is a family business. Henry’s mom said she would be delighted to have me review Henry’s Humdingers.
I received the Shark Tank special; it includes four jars of Henry’s Humdingers- Grumpy Grandpa, Naughty Nana, Phoebe’s Fireball and Diabolical Dad. Aren’t those fun names! All of Henry’s Humdingers are made with raw honey. They each have a wonderful flavor profile. Phoebe’s Fireball is chipotle chile and cinnamon. Grumpy Grandpa is spicy red peppers and garlic. Naughty Nana has spicy pepper and ginger. Diabolical Dad is a combination of habanero and lime.
I was surprised by the heat in these artesian honeys. If you like things on the spicy side, these are for you!
I read on Henry’s Humdinger facebook page that many of his fans use the honey on grilled meat. I also saw a few people say that they use it in their tea. That is where I decided to start. I brewed a cup of tea and stirred in a little Naughty Nana. Wholey Moley, that is good! A few days later, I decided to use Grumpy Grandpa on grilled chicken. Oh my, that is even better! Last night, I tried Diabolical Dad on pretzel sticks. I am hooked! Eating pretzels will never be the same; I will always have to dip them in one of the Henry’s Humdinger artesian honeys. (I am enjoying this snack as I type! YUM!!!)
Henry has a recipe book on his website. You can download it for your convenience. I plan to try a few of the recipes myself.
To order your Henry’s Humdingers, please visit their website. These would make great Father’s day gifts! You may also connect with them on facebook and twitter.
Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

Tried Henry’s grumpy grandpa in my bread and butter pickles that I made. It just sounded like a marriage to me. Can’t wait to try them. To be continued.

We love honey and in fact lived on a honey bee farm when we first married! I’ve never tried spicy or savory flavored honeys but I think I might need to now. What a great idea to grill with them!

I’ve not heard of this brand but love any kind of hot seasoning or sauce on most anything. I’ve even put it on my tofu! I do like honey too.
Thank you very much for your review. I am so glad you liked them – and to let you know -on Monday the 12th in honor of my Grumpy Grandpa (it’s his birthday) I am putting up my Father’s Day Special!
