When our kids first start eating table food, I am leery to give them the glass plates that the rest of us use.  While they have been dropped and survived falls many times, they are over ten years old now and I worry that they will break when a young child is the one using.  So I find more kid friendly options for those first months and years until I feel the child is able to handle the regular dishes.

i play., Inc has some great kid friendly products and they sent me their Green Sprouts Warming Plate for this review.  While our youngest is almost 2 years old now and has used our glass plates for lunch, I don’t trust him with them for breakfast of supper because I am not always right next to him.  (Lunch is our family sit-down meal that we all eat together with my husband so someone is always close by supervising for that meal.)  So I was excited to test this Warming Plate on our son.

I found the Green Sprouts Warming Plate easy to use and our son liked it too.  The compartments are really nice to separate the food, although he doesn’t seem to mind too much if his food all ends up in one pile.  While this dish is dishwasher safe, our water gets really hot and I’ve ruined more than one product in it so I am choosing to hand wash instead.  The Warming Plate washed up easily with warm soapy water and was ready to go again in less than 30 seconds.
