For a lot of moms, the time spent in the shower is some of the only time that they get to really be alone most days. Other moms even give up their shower time because their toddler insists on coming in too. Not to mention moms with newborns who struggle to even find the time to shower daily. When you add those all up, that is a lot of mamas who really value their bath or shower time when they do get it. I’m not a mom yet, but I find taking a hot bath so relaxing.
I thought that a great mother’s day gift idea would be a personal care or spa themed gift basket full of products that smell and feel great and leave mom feeling pampered. Of course, we need Dad to step up and make sure that Mom is able to find the time to use the stuff (hint hint, male readers!)
Softsoap has two limited edition body wash varieties that would fit great into a other’s day spa themed gift basket. The scents are Forever Springtime and Love In Bloom. Both of them are designed to be moisturizing. I loved the texture of both because they were thick and lathered really nicely. I felt really clean and moisturized after using them. While my skin felt protected/moisturized, I didn’t feel like I had leftover residue on my skin after use. I am pretty picky about the texture of body wash I like thicker blends and I was really pleased with the consistency of both of these.
The Forever Springtime bottle says it is Blooming Rose & Berry scented. I can definitely pick up on both the roses and the berry scents but it also has an overall creamy scent in my opinion. The Love In Bloom bottle says it is Renewing Cherry Blossom Scent. I am not sure that I am familiar with what Cherry Blossom flowers smell like in particular but I definitely get a flowery scent. I feel like Love In Bloom is a very light, airy, feminine and fresh scent. I like both scents but the Love In Bloom is my favorite, I will be sad when this limited edition variety gets discontinued at the end of May. I will definitely be buying a few soon because I just really enjoy this scent. Softsoap as a non-limited edition variety called Cherry Blossom & Wild Bamboo that I am now eager to try too to see if it is similar.

I like their coconut scented soaps for the shower and their fruity scents for the kitchen. They really help with my dry skin, especially if I’m washing things in the kitchen. I always look for their coupons and sales for a bargain.
