I’ve personally never been much of a coffee drinker, but I’ve always liked tea. There’s nothing like a warm cup of tea to help you wake up in the morning, or relax in the evening. And it’s always the first drink I turn to whenever I’ve sick, or now that I’ve been getting a scratchy throat due to allergies. Tea is good for many different occasions and makes a great gift, especially Pukka Tea. Pukka Tea is quality herbal tea in many different flavorful and beneficial combinations. They also come in really cute packaging that make them great gifts, especially for mother’s day! I was very excited to be able to try out some tea from Pukka Tea.
I received the following from Pukka Tea for review:
I received the Night Time, Peppermint & Licorice, Relax, and Elderberry & Echinacea flavors.
Pukka Tea comes in these very cute packages. I don’t mine leaving these on my counter, because they just look so adorable! Each package has 20 individually wrapped tea sachets. All of the flavors are USDA Organic, certified organic by the Soil Association Certification, and the ingredients are ethically sourced. Each of the teas are supposed to be infused in water for 5 minutes to fully release their flavors.
Each of these Pukka Tea flavors have different benefits. The Night Time tea is perfect to drink just before bed. It is made of a blend of lavender, oat flower and lime flower. Lavender is well known to help relax and calm us, oat flower calms and nourishes the body, and limeflower helps settle the mind. This tea has a pleasant taste, and is quite sweet. I actually found that I could only take a few sips at a time, because it would quickly get too sweet for me. I’ve been on a sugar free diet for some time now, and so I’m very sensitive to sweet flavors, therefore I find things to be sweeter than most people. That said, this is a tea I think most people would not need to sweeten, as it’s definitely sweet enough on its own.
The Peppermint and Licorice flavor helps support digestion. I have to admit that this flavor sounded really gross to me, but I was very surprised when I tried it. You can definitely taste a hint of peppermint, but it does not taste like typical licorice or black licorice taste, it’s actually an enjoyable flavor. It’s naturally quite sweet. This is another tea you do not need to sweeten. I too found this tea to be a bit too sweet for my taste. I could only take a few sips at a time. I actually found that I like it better cold, over ice, as that seems to combat the sweetness a little bit for me.
The Pukka Tea Relax flavor is a blend of chamomile flower, gotu kola leaf, fennel seed, ginger seed, cardamom seed, marshmallow root and licorice. The chamomile and gotu kola leaf help you unwind after a long day. The fennel, ginger and cardamom seed help ease digestion, and the marshmallow root and licorice help settle the mind, all working together to really help you relax, without making you sleepy. I liked this flavor after work, or after dinner. I found that this tea was not too sweet, and had a little bit of a spicy flavor that I really liked, and it really did help me relax.
The Elderberry & Echinacea tea is a blend of wild berries, echinacea with a touch of elderberry. This tea has a very full, fruity flavor. Echinacea helps boost your immune system, so this is a great one to have every now and then to keep your immune system functioning properly. This tea was sweet, without being overly sweet, and was definitely my favorite flavor.

These all look so good! I’m a huge tea drinker and I’ve never tried this brand before. I’d love to try the elderberry/echinacea!

It took me many years to be a regular tea drinker, but I’m proud to say I now drink more tea than coffee. This from a former one pot a day coffee drinker! I’ve switched mostly to green tea and think I’m healthier for it. I love trying all new teas though and these sound delicious.
I have been trying different teas lately! I am impressed with the types of teas and what they can do for you as you stated above. I made a strawberry tea with lemon, green and black tea mixed together with added lemon. It turned out great. It is fun to see what teas work for what too! Thanks for the review. I have never heard of this brand.
