Thank you Vtech
for providing me with products to review, free of charge.
These are my own honest opinions.
My daughter is a little explorer. She likes to ‘test’ everything by pushing on buttons, pulling, sliding, spinning whatever she can get her hands on. It’s the perfect stage to offer her a variety of electronic education toys and of course, Vtech is one of the best brands out there when it comes to that.
They offer tons of great educational toys categorized in different brands: Innotab, Mobigo, Switch & Go Dinos, Vtech Girl and more. Whether your little one is an infant or a school-aged explorer, Vtech has educational toys for them! They can learn colors, shapes, numbers and letters, they can also learn to spell, read, count, etc.
Since my daughter is almost 9 months old, I chose the Busy Learners Activity Cube (recommended age 6-36 months) and the Sort & Go Helicopter (recommended age 12-36 months).
The Busy Learners Activity Cube is a great toy. There are activities on 5 sides: buttons to press or slide, pieces that slide and spin. Some of them make sounds or music and light up. There are 25 cute songs and melodies, which, from a parent’s perspective is wonderful because I normally easily get tired of hearing the same tunes over and over again but not with this toy. On this cube, baby can learn animal names, colors, shapes, musical instruments. The cube also asks simple questions such as ‘Can you find the instrument that plays this sound?’ It encourages baby to explore and discover what the different buttons do and to recognize and identify animal sounds and the sound of musical instruments.
The Sort & Go Helicopter is another fun toy. It has a string to pull it around and spinning propellers. It is also a 4-piece shape sorter which teaches babies about shapes, colors, animals and animals sounds. The windshield light ups in tune with the music. The helicopter actually plays 20 fun songs and melodies, as well as propeller sounds. When pieces are placed in their appropriate slots, the helicopter tells baby the name of the shape and its color as well as the animal on the shape. It’s a great toy for fine motor skill development. Obviously, my daughter hasn’t quite figured out how to place shapes in their appropriate slots but she has fun banging them and moving the helicopter around.
Both toys require 2 AAA batteries (included) and automatically shut down. The only downfall is that even though both toys have a 2-setting volume control, I still find them to be quite loud. I guess my home is pretty quiet so even the most quiet setting feels loud. Other than that, both toys are great! My daughter loves playing with them. I love to see her explore and learn as she activities her cube and her helicopter. She also started to ‘dance’ with the music which is adorable!
