Thank you Bumbo
for providing me with a product to review, free of charge.
These are my own honest opinions.
Bumbo floor seats are well known and loved by many parents. It’s a great way to allow babies to interact with us and discover their environment in a seated position before they can sit up independently. It helps them learn to control their head and trunk in a safe way. Actually, the whole design is quite complex and places the baby in a slight anterior pelvic tilt while following the natural curvature of the rib cage and back. It also frees their hands to play and explore and gives them a better view of their surroundings. It can also be used to feed baby (although it MUST be placed on the floor for safety). Bumbo floor seats can be used from the time baby can hold her head up independently and can be used for as long as baby fits comfortably in it.
Bumbo floor seats are made of low density foam, giving them a nice cushion-y texture. This come in many colors, including the brand new, girly-as-can-be magenta color! This is the seat I received for my daughter and I totally love its bright hue. The whole seat is soft, with no sharp edges, and if you place it on a hard surface and push down on it, it will actually suction to the floor. It are also very easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth. There is a play tray that can be added to the seat which is great to put things (toys or food) within baby’s reach – but if your baby is like mine, she’ll just bend down and grab whatever she wants anyway!
All Bumbo floor seats now come with a 3-point restraint buckle. It’s easy to buckle unless the straps get pulled under baby when you place her in the seat. When it happens with my daughter, I can’t reach them and I have remove her, get the straps, and seat her back in her Bumbo. It’s not a huge deal but it would be nice if there were some sort of hook or clip to keep them out of the way while placing baby in her floor seat.
I love how my daughter can interact, reach for toys, and look around in her new floor seat. She can more her arms freely, grab her feet, and of course, I don’t have to worry about her falling down and hurting her head. The vibrant color is perfect for her bubbly personality! I especially like this seat when we are visiting family. It’s light and easy to carry along and allows my daughter to be a little more independent and can double as a feeding chair (always on the floor).
Bumbo also offer other great products including booster seats, step stools, toilet trainers, and more. One of the best things about Bumbo, which I only learned recently, is that it gives a portion of its profits to help children in need through the Bumbo Cares Program based in Pretoria, South Africa. Over the years, Bumbo donates over $10M to underprivileged and special needs children! Click here if you’d like to find out more about the Bumbo Cares Program.

These are new to me but great to also keep them safe while they explore. I love the magenta color! Good to know they also have other products and care enough to donate some of their profits.
My daughter is 6 but when she was younger she loved her Bumbo. I kept one in my trunk so if we were out and about she always had her own seat. That is awesome that a 3 point harness belt is included, my other daughter now 4 used to arch her back and flip herself out. If you get a chance you should buy the tray so your lil cutie can eat snacks off it or keep her toys on it.
