Thankfully, I have been able to successfully breastfeed each of our four children. While I only made it six months with our first, I have been able to nurse as long as eighteen months with one of our boys. I have had an overall positive experience with breastfeeding, even with a few setbacks, and plan to nurse baby number five as well. One product that I have found useful throughout my years of nursing is a good pump. My milk comes in fast and strong by day two and there are times where I need to pump even before I feed because I have so much and am uncomfortable. Plus, pumping has helped some of our babies be able to latch on easier and not be overwhelmed with such a strong letdown.
