I am part of the Jennie-O Switch Circle. I received products for my review. All opinions are my own.
For many people, summer time means grilling time. I love cooking on our gas grill. It makes cleanup easy, I get to relax outside while cooking, and it adds a special feeling to the meal when it has been grilled.
One of my favorite grilled meals is Jennie-O Turkey Burgers. I love using a toasted nutty whole grain bun and adding a slice of grilled pineapple and fresh-from-the-garden kale, onion and tomato. YUMMY!
Like many kids, my daughters prefer to have grilled hotdogs. For them I choose Jennie-O Turkey Franks. Jennie-O Turkey franks come in several flavors including: Original, Jumbo, Uncured, Bun Length Uncured, and Jalapeño Jack Uncured Turkey Franks. Jennie-O Turkey Franks are made with 100% turkey. They have 40% less fat than traditional beef franks.
We recently had the opportunity to try a new Jennie-O Turkey Frank, Jalapeño Jack Uncured. The girls were excited to help with this review. It was raining the day we were “testing” so I grilled indoors. I served Jennie-O Turkey Franks with carrot sticks and fresh fruit. The Jalapeño Jack Turkey Frank was delicious. The spice was just right. This was the perfect rainy-day summer lunch.
Once you have grilled your Jennie-O Turkey Frank to perfection, what do you top it with? I found several creative recipes that used turkey franks. Like BLT sandwiches? Try a BLT Turkey Dog. Have a kiddo who will only eat pizza? How about a Pizza Turkey Frank? Looking for something with a little more culture? Try a Mediterranean Turkey Sausage Pocket. All of these recipes and more can be found on the Jennie-O website.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
