I received products from Aura Cacia Essential Oils for my review. All opinions are my own.
Essential oils are all the rage right now in home remedies. It seems like everyone has an oil or a blend that can sooth whatever ails you. All of the homeopathic talk caught my attention and left me wanting to learn more.
I reached out to Aura Cacia for help. For my review, I was sent Sweet Orange oil, Peppermint oil, Lavender oil, Eucalyptus oil and Sweet Almond skin care oil.
While out on the Aura Cacia website, I noticed many things- They have a section that introduces each of the essential oils. They also have suggestions for uses around the house, on your body, with kids and in the bath. Then they have an area that helps you choose oils based on your desired mood: balancing, energizing, mediation, passion, purifying and relaxing.
Essential oils can be used individually or combined to make a special blend. The oils can be directly applied in small amounts to the skin but many prefer to add them to ‘carrier oil’ such as Sweet Almond skin care oil.
One of the recipes I am going to try from the Aura Cacia website is for Hot Oil Hair-Conditioning Treatment. My hair is so try from the summer, I am sure this will feel relaxing and will help hydrated my tired scalp and dry hair. To make it, use 2 TBS Argan oil with 6 drops of rosemary or lavender oil. Blend the oils together in a glass container and warm. Then massage the warm oils into your scalp and hair. Cover your hair in a towel and leave it on for a few minutes. Then wash as normal.
If essential oils aren’t really your thing, but you would still like the aromatherapy benefits, Aura Cacia also offers Milk & Oat Bath, Aromatherapy Foam Baths, Body Polish, Shower Tablets, Mineral Bath Salts, Bubble Baths, and Foam Bath for Kids.
Aura Cacia taught me that aromatherapy has many benefits to the mind, body and spirit. They make learning about essential oils and aromatherapy easy.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

After downloading several essential oils ebooks, I’m interested in getting a few supplies to get started. I like that they have bath products if you’re not yet fully into the oils yet. I may go with a starter kits since there are so many I want to purchase.

I just started with essential oils too! I’m kind surprised by how many times I reach for them!
