I received products from SeaTurtle Sports for my review. All opinions are my own.
While the school bell just rang signaling that summer break is over, we are still in full summer mode. We continue to have beautiful weather here in Oregon; which means my girls are still very much enjoying playing outside. We Oregonians take advantage of every minute of dry weather because we know we will need to wait nine months before we see it again.
As soon as my daughters get off the bus, they change their clothes and run outside to play. This summer we have been playing with our new Beach Bocce Ball Mini set from SeaTurtle Sports.
What exactly is Bocce Ball? I had no idea until I received this set. Players use bright colored balls (4 or 8 depending on if you have a mini or full set) to roll toward the smaller pallino ball. The goal is to get as close to the pallino ball as possible. The first person to roll a ball is considered the ‘inside’ ball. The following players try to get as close as possible to the pallino ball. If balls are rolled between the ‘inside’ ball and the pallino ball, they too are considered ‘inside’ and stop rolling. ‘Outside’ players will continue rolling until one of their balls is closer to the pallino ball than the ‘inside’ ball. The player with the ball closest to the pallino ball wins a point. You repeat this until a player has earned 13 points. That player is the grand winner!
The girls (ages 5 and 7) have a lot of fun with this game. It is a fun way to teach skills in strategic planning, hand-eye skills, coordination, and fun competition.
The Beach Bocce Ball Mini set is easy to take with you in its convenient sturdy carrying tote. This would be a great set to take to the beach, a park, a friend’s house or even a tailgate party.

One lucky winner is going to win their own Beach Bocce Ball Mini set. This is a US giveaway and it will end on 9/23/14.
Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
