*EC Technology sent me a gaming mouse and power bank for review. All opinions are my own.
It’s really amazing to stop and think about how far mobile phones have come in the last 10 years. I graduated high school in 2009 and at that time barely anyone had smartphones but us teens were always being nagged at for texting too much. I remember even the high-end plans having 500 or 750 texts-per-month limits. Can you imagine being limited to that now? Just five years later, most of us can’t imagine having a phone without data.
I am pretty behind the times with my own phone as I work from home so I have access to my laptop and don’t “need” the features of a smartphone nearly as much. Yet it seems like those in my life who do have the newest phones still struggle with battery life. This is particularly true for those who use their phones at work. I know my friends and family members stick their phones into the charger as soon as they get in the car because it’s always needing a recharge. EC Technology has a supper affordable (around $10) solution for charging your phone when you aren’t near a USB port or car. It’s called the Mini 2600mAh External Battery Pack With Light. You plug the device into your computer when you’re still at home and then take it with you (it can easily fit into a purse) and plug your phone into it when it needs a charge. It holds enough power to give your phone up to 8 hours of talk time. If you know a smartphone addict who is always low on battery power it makes a great gift or stocking stuffer item. It also has a light on the end to use it as a flashlight if needed!
Ryan’s old computer mouse was going through batteries (Even rechargeable batteries) really quickly. I knew that in the past he had looked at “gamer” mouses so I thought we would give the EC Technology programmable laser gaming mouse a try. It looks really cool and “glows” in different colors (you can adjust which color it shows up in). When I first tried it it felt pretty big (and wide) in my hand but Ryan said he got used to it really quickly. It has adjustable cursor speed so that depending on the activity Ryan is doing, he can make the mouse really reactive or slower. It has a textured area around the laser on the bottom of the mouse so it has yet to mess up from getting dust or dirt in the mouse. It even has volume adjustment buttons. Ryan has really enjoyed this mouse, it’s a great mouse for gamers.
