I received product from U-Konserve for my review. All opinions are my own.
Our school district does a great job of reducing waste, recycling goods and reusing items. They also encourage the students to do the same at home. So, when we pack our school lunches, we do our best to use containers that can be reused and will last us a long time.
This year, I have two full-time students. Both girls needed a complete lunch kit. I turned to U-Konserve and their line of kid friendly products. For our review we were sent two Waste-Free Lunch Kits. Savannah chose the Caterpillar print and Cheyenne the Butterfly.
The Waste-Free Kits come in a recycled cotton lunch bag. A food kozy wrap for your sandwich, a stainless steel water bottle, recycled cotton napkin and two stainless steel food containers are also included. The Waste-Free kit is BPA, PVC, Phthalate and lead free!
If you need additional items, all of the supplies in the kit can also be purchased separately. Some of them are available in different sizes and/or colors. This is a great option if you want for example, more of the stainless steel food containers.
I love the secure Velcro closure on the lunch bag. It does a nice job of holding things in while not making it impossible for my young daughters to open their own lunches.
I asked my daughters what their favorite part about the lunch kit is. Savannah said she likes to use her napkin as a placemat during lunch. Cheyenne said she likes that she can keep her water bottle at her desk and not worry about it spilling.
My daughters have been back in school for almost 4 weeks now. We haven’t lost a single item in our Waste-Free lunch kits…this is a big accomplishment for us!

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

These are the cutest and so functional. I never would have thought Velcro on a lunch bag, but it works. The designs are fun and I bet they take care of them and don’t lose the pretty things!
