Here in Michigan it’s already beyond that pretty, slightly chilled fall weather. We’re in winter coats and boots most days here. I am already longing for vacation to get away from the weather here.

Daytona Beach is an area known for the gorgeous beach. The edge of the beach is lined with condo rentals, bed and breakfast inns, hotels, camping grounds, motels and other Outdoor Fun options that are perfect for vacationing on the beach. Of course, the beach is there for swimming, sunbathing, and fishing and other fun games (which make great Kid friendly optionsbut that isn’t the only entertainment around. There are even Free Things to Do in Daytona Beach.

Daytona is a great place for fall vacations because they have multiple festivals for entertainment. It’s actually the Festival Capital of Florida. There is the Daytona Beach Blues Festival (and daily live music at Bruce Rossmeyer’s. There’s the Halifax art festival and the Daytona Beach’s film festival. Plus, there is the Wings and Waves air show where over 40 different Air Force air-crafts perform an aerial show above the Atlantic ocean.

I love spending time on the water. If I were to take a 3 day trip to Daytona Beach, this would be my schedule:

Day 1: Get settled in at our rental property. Hit the beach before dark and grill for dinner – with s’mores afterwards!

Day 2: Sleep in until FULLY rested – then explore the city and find a local restaurant to try for lunch. On the way back, stop in some local stores to look around and maybe pick up a souvenir. Once back, hit the beach again (maybe for some fishing this time) and play some beach games with the family.

Day 3: Sleep in again, and find a new restuarant to try for breakfast. Get around in time to visit the Halifax art festival to meet some local artists and get a good look at the gorgeous art. Once finished, hit the beach one last time before a bonfire and bed.

Have you ever visited Daytona Beach? What was your favorite attraction? Are you heading there soon? The beach awaits!

I’ve been to Malibu Beach but not Daytona Beach since I’m on the West Coast! I’ve never even been to Florida so it’s nice to visit at least in pictures. They have lots of nursing jobs there so maybe I’ll head there some day since I’m a nurse. Great they’re are kid-friendly options there.
