*Playmates sent toys in exchange for this blog post. All opinions are my own.
I was born in the early 90’s and I feel like I really missed out on the ninja turtles craze. I had a cousin who was about six years older than me who loved them. I also have a nephew who is about eight years younger than me who liked them when he was a kid as well. Now I have nephews who range from 4 to 10 years old who are fans as well. My nephew Drew (Age 4) was a ninja turtle for Halloween this year. It’s been cool to see how the characters have entertained kids over such a long time span.
For modern-day ninja turtle fans, Playmates toys has toys that will make the perfect christmas gift. For kids like my nephew Drew who are a bit on the younger side (Ages 3+) there is the half-shell heroes “pre-cool” line designed for preschool age kids. I know Drew will love the 2.5 inch figure line. They are small figures that are perfect for little hands. Each turtle comes with a form of transportation such as a motorcycle or skateboard. They are the perfect size to throw into a diaper bag, purse or small backpack to take and play with on the go.
There are also gift options for older TMNT fans. For example, I know that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Electronic Masks would entertain my 4 and 10-year-old nephews and kids between their ages. The masks and the pretend play shell are perfect for boys who like to pretend and/or dress up. They also are great for sparking imagination and creativity. All of my nephews like to role play as their favorite characters so I know these will be really popular with all of the boys this Christmas.
For kids who like to play with figurines, Playmates Toys also has 6′ Talking Turtles and 12″ Mega Mutant Turtles. The 6′ turtles have over 20 phrases each and are for ages 3+. The 12″ figures are also for ages 3+ and they have over 100 phrases and karate sound effects!
Do you have a Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles fan at home? Which TMNT Toys do you think they’d like best?
