I received products from Plum Organics for my review. All opinions are my own.
Like many parents, I struggle with school lunches for my kids. I try to pack healthy home lunches, but I feel like we repeat the same foods over and over. We pack a sandwich or soup along with a fruit, a veggie, and a small treat. Monday- Thursday, we also need to pack an afternoon snack.
The last few weeks, I have been searching for different menu items. The girls and I checked out a few kids cookbooks from the library and have tried some new recipes. I have also been looking for a couple quick meals I can just heat and add to their thermos.
Plum Organics asked if the girls and I would like to try their new line of kids soups. I thought this would be a great opportunity for us. Maybe these new soups were something that we could add to the lunch menu.
For our review, we received packets of Chicken Fiesta Soup, Tomato Meatball Soup and Chicken Noodle Soup.
We were on spring break when the package arrived. The girls couldn’t wait for a school day to try the soups. They quickly each chose a flavor and we followed the easy cooking instructions. Plum Organics Kids Soups were a hit!
For the average child these are probably are single serving packets, like the label says. However, my kids aren’t’ big eaters so we split a packet with both girls.
We were also able to try a few of the Plum Organics Vida fruit/veggie puree pouches. We received Pineapple Carrot Mint, Cherry Berry Beet Ginger and Pear Kale Spinach Celery. I didn’t realize that these pouches were intended for adults. I let my daughters have them. They said they were good but not their favorite. I am not sure if that was because of the fruit/veggie combinations or because it was in a pouch. My kids aren’t’ real fans of pouch foods.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

I’ve never tried soup from a pouch before but they look good and can’t beat the convenience. Hopefully they’re well priced, but you really wouldn’t waste much with a nice serving size shown.
