We recently listed our house for sale. We have been on and off the market for a while now. After making some home renovations and noticing the improvement in our local market, we decided it was time to try to sell again.
Two areas we have enhanced are our master and kids bathrooms. Both rooms were fine structurally; they just needed some jazzing up. I turned to Kohl’s for new bathroom accessories.
For our master bathroom I chose two Apt. 9® Solid Plush Bath Rug in plum, a nickel Home Classics® Step Wastebasket, a Home Classics® Brushed Nickel Lotion Pump, and Food Network™ Farm Fresh Medium Round Wire Basket in turquoise.
The kids’ bathroom received a Precision Pet Egg Basket in red, a Home Classics® Brushed Nickel Lotion Pump, a Home Classics® Step Wastebasket in nickel, and a Home Classics® Pucker Fabric Shower Curtain in white.
I needed a long runner area rug in our master bathroom. I didn’t see any with the dimensions I was looking for. I decided to get two Apt. 9® Solid Plush Bath Rugs, 20” x 32” in size, and sew them together end to end. I am really pleased with the results. The pop of plum color really gives our bathroom a new look.
Our kids’ bathroom desperately needed a shower curtain. I wanted something that would appeal to young girls but also would look nice for potential buyers. I chose a Home Classics® Pucker Fabric Shower Curtain. The girls thought this looked like a princess wedding dress. I think it looks like a clean bright white shower curtain. The Pucker Fabric Shower Curtain is 70” x 72”, has hook perforations and is made with machine washable microfiber fabric.
The Home Classics® Step Wastebasket has a removable plastic inner liner. A foot pedal, slow-close design and carrying handle make this a great addition to your bathroom. The wastebasket is 11”H x 8”W x 9”D with a 1.27 gallon capacity.
We are using the Home Classics® Brushed Nickel Lotion Pump as a liquid soap dispenser. While it looks nice, we are noticing some rust forming along the top opening and the bottom. It works but may need to be replaced if it continues to rust. (No longer featured on the Kohl’s website)
Both the Precision Pet Egg Basket and Food Network™ Farm Fresh Medium Round Wire Basket add a touch of rustic farm décor to our bathrooms. I chose these pieces to sit on the back of our toilets to hold a roll of toilet paper. I think they are a fun way to store a common necessity.
Adding these items helped me bring in different textures and pops of color. It brightened both bathrooms without making them obnoxious. I think it made both bathrooms look pulled together and appealing for potential buyers.
I love my new Kohl’s bathroom accessories! It was easy to update these two rooms in a budget friendly manor.

Thanks for sharing your two bathroom updates. The items you purchased from Kohl’s really gave both bathrooms a brand new look that made them look so much brighter. It was almost as though you had redone the walls instead of just the rugs, shower curtains and accessories.
