I have to admit I have a bit of an obsession with receiving things in the mail whether they are gifts, things I purchased or my latest favorite, subscription boxes. I really enjoy knowing exactly what I’m going to receive but even more so I love surprises, they are my favorite! Healthy surprise was already a pretty straight track right to my heart.

Healthy surprise is a subscription box company offering multiple boxes of different sizes and varieties from $49 to $100. They offer different types ranging from paleo to a chocolate lovers box *drool*. Every box is generally allergy friendly leaving out some of the major culprits like, peanuts, wheat, and shellfish. But the absent ingredients, msg & yeast extract, artificial colors, high fructose corn syrup, and artificial sweeteners are what sold me. The other awesome thing about healthy surprise is they have a store where you can buy natural personal care items like toothpowder and perfumes! They are a sort of one stop shop that you can trust to bring you high quality pure natural products!

I received the Paleo box from healthy surprise. While my family doesn’t strictly practice a Paleo diet, we do strongly appreciate a lot of the guidelines, such as no refined sugar, no grains, and no legumes. I was more than excited that a food subscription box had that option as well as actually followed it! When I received the box I was so excited to open it up as the whole thing would be a surprise! Once I did open it, I was shocked at how full the box actually was! In previous experiences with other boxes I have felt they used a lot of stuffing to make up for a lack of product, but this was not the case, there were snacks and treats stuffed into every corner! My family really enjoyed the majority of everything that was inside, which is a strong feat considering we have a one year old and a three year old each with different taste preferences! There were only about two things inside that we didn’t care for. Considering how much comes in each box that’s a very small fraction! We really appreciated the variety of products like wild caught sardines band date bars. Some of our favorites were the honey chocolates as they felt like a guilt free candy! I also loved all of the different dried fruit choices! I loved getting this box and healthy surprise feels the gift of giving can be contagious so included inside the box is a custom gift card that can used towards the purchase of a gift box for a friend or family member!
