I love being in a large family because we never go more than a year or two without someone having a new baby. I love shopping for gifts for babies and toddlers, but I always hesitate before buying baby or toddler products that I suspect will only be used for a couple of months. When I was shopping for my sister’s baby shower gift, I was excited to see that she included a baby bouncer on her registry that transformed into a rocking chair once the child was old enough to sit up unsupported. Instead of only being used for a few months, the seat was used for a couple of years before being passed down to another baby so I felt like it was a smart purchase.

I’ve been excited to see this growing trend among baby gear to let their items be two or even three in one, but the bike that I’m writing about today “takes the cake” for being an all in one toy. the Leg&Go bike is EIGHT toys in one. Yes, eight!

Rocking Elephant Leg&go

The Leg&Go starts off as a rocking elephant, similar to a rocking horse but seated low to the ground and with natural suspension so it can’t be tipped over and is nice and stable. It is even height adjustable, so it can be as low as 6.5 inches or up to 9 inches in height.

The Leg&Go can also be altered into several different types of bikes including three types of balance bike (called baby bike, balance bike and comfort bike), a traditional pedal-bike, a downhill bike, and a tricycle! The three balance bike modes are all height adjustable, with the smallest baby bike setting being 8 inches, and the highest balance bike setting being 18 inches.

The bikes have the ability to add (or remove) a steering limiter that stops the handles from spinning fully around. My 4-year-old nephew recently learned how to ride a 2-wheeler bike, and his bike had a full range of steering motion and he once crashed and the handles turned inwards and caught him in the stomach. That was over a month ago and he has a pretty big, dark scar as a result! The steering limiter is great for kids just getting used to a bike, but for older kids who want the larger range of motion it can be removed.

No tools are needed to adjust the size of the bike, making the process less daunting. If your family likes to travel or spend a lot of time on the go, you can disassemble the Leg&Go so its easier to carry around.

Leg&Go is made of birch plywood, making it lightweight and easy to maneuver for small children.

Words can only capture so much, but this video does an awesome job of showing how versatile the Leg&Go truly is.

There is currently  Kickerstarter campaign to fund the Leg&Go. The $60,000 limit needs to be met to create the balance bike and downhill bike options. Then if the larger goals of 100k, 150k or 200k are met the other options will be added as well. If you’re one of the first 100 people to pledge $179 you’ll receive a Leg&Go (with 3 balance bike options)  including shipping. Once the campaign is over, the Leg&Go will have a retail value of $325. If you aren’t one of the first 100, you can instead pledge $199 for the same deal, and save $126 on your Leg&Go.

Check out the Leg&Go Kickerstarter page or the Leg&Go brand website for more details.

This is so neat. I also come from a large family and this bike caught our eye. I already purchased one Leg&Go, hope it comes out as perfect Christmas gift for our little one. I even think I should order two more because nephews and niece will want one for themselves too. Just look at its wooden design, beautiful invention.

This is getting all over the internet! I also ordered one but mine is 6-1. So little sum from me, little bit from others and that $60k was collected! They promising all versions to be delivered by March because there are no more “stretchgoals”. Samantha, you can also add other versions to your purchase, however then you won’t get it by Christmas… oh well. Looking forward! :))))

this idea, make 8 in 1 bike is really, really great. my daughter just turn into one, and this would be real helper for her. And money saver for parents.

I only saw a blurb of this over the summer so great to read more about it. I love the rocking elephant but they don’t stay that little for long! I hope they do well with sales and the price comes down a bit.

I purchased a Leg&go to support the Kickstarter project. They could not meet the first ETA for the trike components we needed for my Son to actually used the bike. They provided a second ETA which was 3 months later, still could not deliver the goods paid for by that ETA. The 3rd ETA was 1 year later than the original so I requested a refund. I followed all instructions to ship goods for return biased on the promised that I would be refunded in full plus postage and when it came to the refund they short changed me $55USD for postage. Do not bother purchasing this bike as by the time you get it your child will probably have outgrown it!
