I remember when I was younger and felt like I was in the “in-between” age. I didn’t feel like a child anymore as I started babysitting when I was 10. But yet, I definitely wasn’t an adult either. School had a presentation for the girls in one room with a video and a couple teen girls while the boys went off and did something else (perhaps a presentation too?). Then, my mom took my sister and I to a church friends house and sat us down for “the talk”. Included, they also gave us a Purity Ring as a reminder of our commitment. All in all, it was not that fun of an experience and I have been dreading my role now for this as a parent. The world of adolescence has become so much scarier and much different from when I was younger. Being online and “connected” allows for a variety of negativity including: bullying, sexting, online stalking, the feeling of lack of consequence, and even moral defiance. I feel as if innocence is truly under attack and I feel the need to take a proactive stand to protect our children. So when I heard some buzz about a Passport 2 Purity program on our homeschool network, I was thrilled to learn more about them and share how you can receive a discount on this product.

Heart to heart communication is key while creating a strong foundation helps prepare everyone for the turbulent years that possibly lay ahead. I’m excited to have these materials on hand and plan to use them for the first time with our oldest, a girl, when she turns 11 as well as the rest of our children as they grow up.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
