The controller looks similar to a video game controller and let you control the copter with ease. The drone is powered by two integrated Linux computers.
The drone doesn’t come with a camera but it’s designed to work with the GoPro Hero 3, 3+ and 4. If you have (or purchase) a GoPro for use with your Solo Drone the controller will let you control the camera as well, including stopping and starting video or snapping a photo. You can even take “orbit’ shots which circle around an object to create a wrap-around style photo.
You can download an app for your smartphone or tablet that will let you watch the video feed in real time so you can keep track of what you are recording.
