I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Monistat. I received a product and promotional item to thank me for my participation.
As the title suggests, this blog post is going to discuss the myths and facts of yeast infections. Monistat has created the It’s Time For TMI campaign to raise awareness about the truths and myths surrounding yeast infections and start a conversation. It’s quite common for people to be bashful or even embarrassed to discuss private health issues and I can understand why people are hesitant to do so. However, this unfortunately can contribute to many women being misinformed or uneducated about yeast infections. Plus, when it comes to your health and wellness, it’s impossible to have too much information.
For example, 53% of women admit to not knowing how to treat a yeast infection. Two out of three women (66%) didn’t know that it can be cured with an over the counter treatment.
Monistat is one brand hat offers over the counter yeast infection products. They also offer test kits so that you can find out if you have a yeast infection before treating. You can even print out a Monistat coupon to save money.
I have to admit, I learned a couple of things from this It’s Time For TMI infographic.
With most women experiencing a yeast infection at some point in their lives, it’s great if parents can have open and honest discussions with their daughters about yeast infections and how to handle them if they should arise. For adults, there shouldn’t be any shame involved with sharing information with peers. The It’s Time For TMI is a great resource for learning more about yeast infections and how to treat them.
Win it: A monistat kit! Giveaway is open to the US and will end at 11:59pm EST on 8/14.
