Lions and Tigers and Bears …… and Princesses? Oh my! It’s time to start planning for the upcoming festivities that come with the change of seasons and for many, that includes Halloween. Although our children don’t need a special day dedicated to costumes as any day of the week, month, or year are fair game in our home! Superman at the supermarket. Yep! That’s happened. Along with a ballerina, doctor, and even a frog. While those wouldn’t have been my first choices for grocery shopping attire, I realize that my kids are only going to be young once and there was no harm in them having a really great time.
For this review, Costume SuperCenter sent us one of their Girls Princess Halloween Costumes. While many times I have struggled to find a princess costume large enough to fit our 10 year old daughter, we were thrilled to find their Snow White version was offered in larger sizes! We went with the biggest currently available which was a large (size 12/14 but says for children ages 8/10).
Our daughter is currently 10 but on the shorter side of the growth chart so we were fairly hopeful that this costume would work. As soon as it arrived, we unpacked to check it out. Included is the very beautiful dress as well as a headband that sports the famous red bow. The dress itself is lovely in shades of blue, red, and gold. It has layers that add to the fullness and allows the dress to flow when our daughter is running around. The details are beautiful. Lace trim, gold bow, poofy sleeves, and even a high backed collar (which can be folded over if that is preferred). Topped with the matching headband, this costume is remarkably regal. Since the inside is lined, our daughter said it was comfortable too!

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

I love how vivid the colors are and the gold trim just makes the outfit. I’m usually pinning all kinds of ideas by this time of year, but just now getting in the spirit so thanks for motivating me more!
